Still recovering financially but hopefully by the end of June I am hoping that I will be on a even keel.

Linda, you have absolutely done the right thing, I did this at the end of April and it has been the best thing I have ever done. As you say it has taken the pressure off and I cannot recommend self exclusion to everyone enough as it just takes that gambling option away. As you say I would spend more on the machines before bingo and then sit there feeling sick and not enjoying the night. Whats the point? Good to see you back.

So for like the first time in forever I've not checked the thread in the last 24.......I can't leave you guys alone even for a day without it all kicking off!! Lol!!

Where do I begin? Firstly by celebrating the successes that the hard work of our team members has brought and also for the value of the team itself......

TBON - welcome to the Century Club L!! It's simply and honour to be marching this march with you and superb you've made it to such a significant milestone - many more to come!! That's brilliant you've started an e-course too - another reason to look in the mirror and feel pride in yourself!!

Linda - Wonder Woman is back......very proud Mrs - can't believe you were in that place however, it just speaks volumes for you that you went and did that - 'mon the team!!!!

Mike - I'm hoping that you and the good lady have woken up this morning with a fresh perspective. It must be incredibly tough for the partner of a CG - try to work things through before all is lost - if that's h right thing to do!! Really really impressed at your resolve and commitment to this team that you never went and punished both you and your Mrs even more - it's just my worth it!

So we've currently got 9 missing soldiers with less than half a day until check in deadline. We've also got 4 soldiers coming back into the ranks!!

It's been a bumper week for new soldiers and so far the following will be added to the team with bornagain's Sunday update:-

John64 - I'm not sure if your post was an intention I you wanting to join the challenge or the forum itself? Youve done the latter!! If you would like to join this group then I'd ask that you post again being really clear around your commitment to stopping and to the team. If you do this before midnight tonight you'll be added tomorrow.

D70 - congrats on your first week of being free - don't underestimate the significance of that!! I'd ask the same of you as of John64 - another post before midnight tonight making your commitment clear and you'll be added tomorrow, or another post after that will see you added next week!! I've got a feeling this will really work for you......and for the team!!

Hi me brightside yes I would certainly like to join the challenge and I would do everything to help the group and myself, I would be commited to stopping gambling and feel like this group would help , thanks for letting me join 🙂

well I would be on day 7 today, but slipped and feel really bad,(hate myself for this) im just getting added to the challenge this Sunday. so today sat 31st May, my birthday as well is the start for me day 1.

don't know if this means I will have to wait till next week to be added but whatever, as long as I stop throwing money away.

Just checking in 🙂 day 13 still all good and feeling positive. The last week was really hard as I was away and had no access to the internet at all (not even on my mobile) to come on here and get the support and encouragement you wonderful people give to each other. Nevermind....... I'm back, I survived and I am still fighting fit. Feels great to be back. xxxx

Checking in on day 17. Really excited today as just booked a last minute break to somewhere sunny. Can't wait! Life without gambling is actually living.

Checking in day 107, such awesome weather the last few days shame I can't walk because of my operation but still nice to looks at... Met some friends I used to play poker with the other day and missed the banter and the game but despite being asked back I said no because it's just not worth spoiling what I've accomplished, Hope everyone is keeping well and has a gamble free week ! Also sick of all these TV ads etc about gambling something must be done !

Evening all, checking in another 7 gamble free days to the total. Very busy week at work so not had any urges or thoughts of gambling.
