Hi Claire / Mark,

If possible I would like to rejoin the challenge?. I guess when Phil left it felt like the challenge was disintegrating and I decided to focus my efforts on alternative recovery programs. I've just refs through some of the commentary and it's amazing how everyone has come together, supporting each other and being really successful.

Im really sorry I dropped out and wished I hadn't. I'm still heavily indebted to this forum for getting me to the point of not constantly thinking about gambling. I've paid off 20% of the 30k I accumulated in debts and every day gets better.

If possible could you sign me back in and I will make every effort to sign in weekly as I did before.

thankyou and best wishes

andy

Hi Phil and welcome to the challenge. Joining this website and the challenge was the best thing I've done for years. The support on here is fantastic, genuine, warm and honest. As fellow compulsive gamblers we understand, you are not alone. The days will soon add up, you just have to take each one at a time. Keep reading and posting, good luck

Check in at 114 days gamble free.

My tip would be "don't have access to or carry cash. No money = no gamble"

Best wishes x

Morning troops.

Im especially pleased to see we have two extras as I check in this morning. Huge welcome to our new member westham phil . You've taken the first step in joining this challenge. You can make a real difference to your life and happiness if you can do this. We wish you success and if you can, try to check in here again before Sunday to let us know how you've got on in the first few days.

I'd also like to welcome back on board better life (andy). It's lovely to see you back in the challenge. Fantastic to see you're still on track too on 229 days and having paid off a fifth of your debts too. What would you say has been the main thing helping you to stay away from gambling ... If you had one tip for success, what would it be ?

A86N you're nearly there for 100 days! Super effort ... What's motivating you most to reach that milestone ?

Many thanks for all the collaborative efforts on the forum, between us we are making this challenge a success !

Great to read people's tips for staying stopped this week as they check in! 🙂

Best wishes

Evening all,

Checking in on 600 gamble free days. It's not about accumulating a vast amount of gamble free days for me but it's now all about:

  • Me not telling constant lies to my wife, family and friends.
  • Not running up huge amounts of debt that was ruining my future.
  • Now being able to have a good nights sleep without worrying about how I was going to win back my losses or spend my days winnings.
  • Going to work and not constantly looking at my phone to check on how my bets were getting on.
  • But most of all, waking up each morning and saying to myself, that for this day, I will not gamble.

Have a great week folks and keep up your hard work and commitment.

Mike
