Hi all,

Hope you have all had a great weekend and have a productive, happy bet-free week planned. Please see the latest days count below. Welcome to jspaghetti and a huge congratulations to gav123 for smashing through the 400 barrier. However, every day is an achievement for those trying to remain bet free.

We currently have 27 people checked in, with a cumulative bet-free total of 6891 days which is almost 19 years. The average days account across the 27 people is an impressive 255 days...to me, that shows that staying close, checking in and benefitting from the the positivity and support of this group is a vital component of keeping the urges at bay.

Thanks Gary for keeping us up to date with the numbers, it's a time consuming task but helps massively to keep people motivated when we see the totals. We have a great number of days and even 'cumulative years' gamble free - this is an inspiration and will motivate many to keep going.

Im checking in this week, 159 days & no gambling related urges or thoughts and I'm pretty optimistic about seeing through the rest of 2015 gamble free.

Best wishes to all this week especially those fighting strong urges. Just think of the consequences of becoming a gambler again and it should soon put you off !

Ps well done Casey on six months gamble free !

Day 495 - checking in.

Read some great posts on here this week. We are coming in to a tough time of year with all the hype about Christmas. The best presents we can give our families is to stay away from gambling. Suzy

Day 6 checking in for me.

Got over the guilt phase of my last splurge so feeling positive. The real test for me though will be to resist the temptation after payday next Friday.

It really is a beacon of hope seeing all you guys check in with some great numbers!

Hi All

Happy to report 300 days Gamble free - been busy in a new job working every hour god sends to pay off some significant debts.

travelling far in this job and only have time to eat, sleep and wash inbetween shifts but least no gambling and hopefully get debt free sooner rather than latter if extra bills don't keep cropping up like over £1,300 to fix car gearbox and clutch!!

Sorry i missed check in - but the important thing is i haven't gambled :-).....roll on one year milestone.....my christmas will come officially on 28th December 2015 - which will be an entire year gamble free! A record of my life....lets pray i reach it and then beyond!!!

P.s well done clare on your new job and continued gamble free streak x

best wishes to everyone - keep it up - one and all gamble free ! x

hi ive been reading some of the posts and although its late in the year i would like to join if thats ok? im addicted to online slots and over the past 3 years this has caused me so much grief and every time i try and give up i always let myself down - ive been gamble free since 12th october but im worried about when i get paid next week that i have the willpower and common sense to resist. sorry i need to give a quick rundown of my story which i hope helps others - after taking redundancy in 2011 i was at a loss and in 2012 made a massive mistake - i decided to try online bingo which i thought was a bit of fun. before i new it i think in a matter of a few months i had spent thousands and was obsessed with playing online to the neglect of everything else in my life. im so ashamed as it turned me into a person i dont like who lies and is irresponsible and worst of all i know that its such a stupid thing to do. Im lucky i still have my home and family although im struggling with debt and am desperate to stop for good. sorry for the long ramble!
