Hi all...am checking for the week and to provide a quick update. We're going away tomorrow for a short break so won't be able to update the Days Count til Wednesday. Am more than happy to do so then, but equally content enought to handover to anyone who wants to pick up the baton 🙂
Personally, things are still going great and I chaired a GA meeting yesterday where people were getting recogised for periods of abstinence (4 x 1 year, 1x 3 years, 1x11 years). Huge hope for the future and loads of unity and positivity.
Wish you all a great, and more importantly safe, weekemd.
Hi everyone,
Checking to report a gamble free week. Welcome to our new forum member, melody, you are more than welcome to join the challenge to help you to stop gambling. A massive well done to Lest We Forget, 300 gamble free says is a huge achievement and may it long continue.
Have a great break Gary1976, and thank you for your efforts in compiling a weekly summery.
Have a great weekend folks.
Mike
Hi all...I would also like to join this group if possible, I have been gambling for approx 7 years, addicted to bingo and online slot machines....It makes me sick to the pit of my stomach how much money I have wasted on this but still I carry on!! I have not been to bingo in a few weeks but was still on the slots today, I have however self excluded myself from these sites today in the hope of finally conquering this addiction!! fingers crossed no more gambling from today!!
Hi there,
my name is Dan, and I would like to join the 2015 challenge. Started with playing poker for fun, eventually descended in to playing high stakes blackjack. Always related having money to being happy, won a lot of money and still wasn't happy so ended up losing it all.
now getting the support I need for my depression with the help of my girlfriend and family, just need to really get on top of my urge to win all my money back.
I cannot not win because I cannot stop, day 1.
Sounds like you are in a very good place Gary, have a lovely few days away, and thanks for that info on the GA meeting, never been to one yet, but it is on my list.
Well done to Wayne (lest we forget)! passing 300 is a great achievement.
And a very warm welcome aboard to our newcomers Melody, Lola, and Dan, I wish you all the very best on this challenge and also to the start of your recovery journeys,
Suzanne xx
Welcome onboard Lola and Dan, you have done the 1st huge step and admitted you have a gambling addiction. The early days are difficult, and it will take hard work, grit and determination not to place a bet. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your progress in the coming weeks / months.
Mike

Hello, I last gable 3 hours ago. Am feeling terrible again. i play slots now for 3 years. i lost 10.000-15.000, I feel shame. No one knows. In 2 weeks i will open my own shop and i spend 3.000 from the 8.000 i make loan to fix the shop. I left only the really nessesary money to finish my project. I want to stop, i want to start feeling again. I join this post.
Checking in on day 265. Closing in on the 300 day point! I have no urges to gamble anymore. Occasionally I think it would be fun to put a football bet on to increase the games excitement but I haven't bothered. keep strong troops
