Hi guys, best of luck jm24, I'm sure you'll do great! Congratulations all you " milestone'ers "!!!. Congratulations on birthdays and everyone who have been strong and abstained. Nice one mrdaniels! I can relate to your post as I too have been able to buy all the new furniture for my Daughters bedroom, pay off my catalogue and consider the prospect of being able to ( now ) afford buying her the Apple Mac that she needs so desperately for her graphic design course at college. It's a great feeling knowing that you could just as easily lost those resources to gambling? BUT, instead we can now use them for the things that matter to you:) I am a single Mother and being able to provide for her means the world to me.
Sad news though from me. I relapsed. I've gone through it all in my diary and don't want to go on about it.
However, checking in day 2. Starting again. I hope I'm ok still posting in this thread?.
Anyway, stay strong and stay safe you guys.
Godspeed, otterlady.
Checking in on day 591.

Checking in 172 days and no thoughts of gambling recently. It does seem easier when you are busier and with a new job I'm definitely keeping busy. Can't contemplate wasting money on gambling any more. Slowly getting out of my debts be a few years yet. However I can see myself getting out of debt in about 3 to 4 years now. That time will pass ... It's a constant reminder of my gambling addiction and the big dent it's made in my finances and preventing me doing lots of other things with my money. Really hope I never do go there again. It's been an extremely costly few years but this year I've paid off about £1500 - £2000 and hope to continue doing this.
Best wishes to everyone who is also turning their back on the gamble monster. No matter how many days we are on, what counts in the effort and determination you can show each day.

Checking in on day 521 (I think, have a great week everyone)
Hi all,
With apologies for the delay (had to take some unexpected time off yesterday), please see below latest days tally for those who have checked in.
Huge congrats to anyone who has reached a significant milestone...it's a joy to see the progress people are making.
I wish you all a fabulous week. I've had another positive, progressive week. Was nice to get an unexpected redress payment from a payday loan company who admitted loaning irresponsibly to me during my worse times.
