Jlawson118 welcome to the challenge, once you have made another post you will be added to the front page. You are lucky to realise you have a problem so early make sure you don't put yourself through the many more years of hell that others on here have!

Come on troops lets be having you, its going to be a testing weekend, get checking in safe. I'm doing overtime tomorrow afternoon to keep me away from the tv on a day that could be dangerous for me.

Checking in on day three of keeping away from gambling and I really am starting to feel the withdrawal now.. With the way I felt when I nearly lost everything the other night, I vowed I'd never gamble again and that's what I'm trying to keep away from doing. I even had this dream last night I placed a football bet on two teams drawing and I cashed in early to not risk it and then they ended up drawing after all.

My friend is considering moving away soon and he suggested a few drinks and a casino night if and before he leaves and I briefly told him the story about what happened to me online and that I want to keep away from it for a while. But due to winning my losses back and being lucky, I don't think he realised that I need to try my best not to get in that mess again.

But I just hope this time next week I can say I'm ten days clean and I'm going to try meet that milestone but I'm just feeling bored most evenings and afternoons and keep finding myself on the website and then closing it down!

I really hope everyone else keeps fighting on and has a good week too!

Hope everyones doing well, checking in again for me with no Gambling to report.

I have had gambling thoughts this week though, have worked through them and have things in place to make sure i dont act on them. I suspect its because of the extra coverage racing is getting this week meaning i have struggled to avoid it, i normally make sure i dont look in bookies as i pass them or read the racing pages etc but this week the coverage is quite unavoidable. Anyway working overtime tomorrow so will definetely not be able to gamble if i get the urge again.

Now i am 40k in the red, My wife left me our house has just sold and i am on the road to recovery, I need you and everyones help, Its a lonely recovery but I know i can do it.

104 days gamble free 🙂

last years grand national i spent over £400 backing nearly every horse - bar the few that actually came 1st,2nd,3rd,4th & 5th.

This year it will not get a single penny off me - i will still watch it though and choose a single horse just for entertainment value.

it goes to show how unlucky i was even betting on over 30 horses i still didn't win a penny.............a clear message that gambling wasn't meant for me for sure lol 🙂

not much interested this year don't even know who is running

last year I would have been working out what bets to put on

this year may even go out for a bike ride

how things have changed

carry on everyone we can all bear this
