Good morning Soldiers!!

Courtesy of some man flu, streaming nose and 2 hours of root canal treatment leaving me with a rather painful mouth, I've not slept too well.........so have managed to read every post this week!! Feels good to watch the growth and resolve in many of you and being 100 days into the year is a monster milestone in such a challenging week.

Im checking in nearly at 500 days but still resisted the temptation to join one of many sweepstakes and National related gambles. Not embarrassed any more either by saying no!

Be safe today everyone - temptation abound.

Mr B checking in for the week!!

22 check ins missing troops, don't be drawn into the fairytale that the gambling companies make out today will be. Get checked in safely and make the right choices! I used to go to the National every year and the last time I went I was 2000 pound up after three races. Leaving after the last I had given it all back and a lot of my own money. We can't win because we can't stop, don't try that one off bet as it will lead to more pain!

barryt27 and elka24pawel welcome to the challenge, once you have made another post you will be added to the front page and checked in. If you need any support on here click on the netline link on the top of the page and you can talk to an advisor from Gamcare and get some support and help. Jlawson118, welcome to the challenge, you have been checked in.

Soon be holiday time. I'll be over100 days when we go. Should have been celebrating 1 year gamble free but instead each day is a celebration of being gamble free and we will be celebrating still being a family and being over 100 days gamble free.

Determined not to have even a 50pew bet today

will log on here if I get the urge but good thing I'll be watching in a country pub no bookies and phone blocked

everyone just don't bet today

even if it means staying in all day

if you can get through today you can Beat it

Great reading Everyone's progress, it's a brilliant source of inspiration. On National Day I would usually be sitting down, anticipating the race, and rushing to place a last minute bet. This year, I'm keeping my money and doing my best to stay away from gambling altogether.

Good Luck.

Checking in 14 days 🙂

Paul

Checking in on day 113, must say the thought of the only horse race I used to bet on is bringing unwanted urges into my mind, but staying strong and gamble free!!!
