Hi all you successful people 🙂

Would any of you care to share a few tips on how you've got to where you are now without relapsing? Would be interesting to hear about and I'm sure inspiring for the community.

Nick

Checking in on Day 516. Nick for me it's one day at a time, sometimes hour by hour. As long as I can say I haven't gambled today it doesn't matter what the day number is. Exclude yourself from every bookies or online site and think about joining GA. Welcome to the challenge, you can't change the past, but you can make your future better x

Good day!

Online gambling was introduced to me by my colleague at work last October 2013. Since then I can't stop gambling online.

It was last December 2015 when I had my worst decision in my life ever. I lost $5,000 using my credit card so I have to pay it monthly to the bank for the period of 2 years.

I was able to stop gambling for 90 days but the relapse happened. I played again online even when I lose everytime. I missed 3 months of my monthly payment and I was not also able to pay some of my obligations.

And for this month September 2016, I betted all my salary for the cutoff and lost. I had a chance to get my money back but continued to play. Now I have nothing.

I feel depressed right now and I don't know how to say it to my loved ones as they knew I already stopped online gambling.

Today marks my day 1 as I want to stop this 3 year curse that has given financial trouble and stress to my life.

Hope to overcome my debts in the future and start a new life.

God bless us all.

Hey Bjornpogi...

Wow your story will resonate with so many people here on the forum. I can tell you, I am having urges to gamble myself, having spent well over 20 years gambling and really started gambling as a child. I have had times where I was in control, my friends , family and girlfriend were 8n the dark that I was constantly going back to gambling, after brief periods of not gambling at all.

I used to hate having a big loss and then heading home pretending I got caught up in traffic, or had to go to the shop, or bumped in to a friend that got talking. The thing that kicked off my current streak was talking to a therapist, it's something I took a long time to do...but it has helped me immensely.

Let us know how you are getting on.

All the best

Paul
