i started gambling 10 years ago. December 2016 i was depressed about my gambling and thought this year 2017 i would stop for good. I banned myself from all casinos in England. I was gamble free for a few months. In Feb on a family vacation trip i let my guard down and gambled. Then i stopped for a while, then returned to the casinos i got kicked out because the cameras reconized me as barred. I was fine again for a few months. Then i discovered live online gambling. I won some money and was positive about it, then in one week i had lost it all again and started chasing my losses. Now ive maxed out any and all credit i had access to. With all this debt all i want to do is chase my losses some more. I'm tired though i cant keep gambling. This month i gambled my rent money, I've reached a new low. Living with the losses and the debt is going to be harder to stop gambling as i keep thinking i can just gamble a little everyday till i make back my debt. I feel like even though I don't want to gamble anymore, i need to so i can win back some, just a little bit of my money. The game i play baccarat is deceiving because its 50% chance to win. Based on the evidence though i lose 100% of whatever i bet. Nothing makes any sense. September 6, first day gamble free, I'm starting again. My name is Dean and I am a compulsive gambler

Dean, I am on day 0 so you are a day ahead my friend 🙂

50% chance becomes 0% chance to a cg because we will just carry on till it is all gone. Maybe not at first...but its a progressive addiction.

I know I can beat this because I've done it before and life is much better without gambling. Let's put those days behind us

I can totally understand where you coming from Dean. Like 4D above you are one day a head me. After struggling with a gambling addiction for 10 years I have managed some months off gambling but being true to myself I have gambled for the majority of this time although I have lied to my partner of 7 years and myself and family throughout. I aim to be free from gambling one day at a time

I gambled again, won and then had this idea that I could just win some more and then stop. But I ended up losing it all today. The only way is to stop altogether! Gonna start again. September 7 is my last bet. I Dean am a Compulsive Gambler

Hi Dean and welcome to the forum .

We all try to stop Buddy by taking a few day's / weeks / months off and think were cured , then the urge comes back and you think " This time will be different " and " I can see where I went wrong before so I'll controll it from now " ? .

It never works my friend because as Compulsive Gamblers weve crossed an invisible line and that means we have no " Off button " to tell us when to walk away and we'll just keep on until weve once again blown the lot ! . Iyt even stops being about the money , that's just gambling tokens to keep feeding our addiction . I've gambled for many many years and I've had some decent win's or as I call them " Borrowing's because I'll alway's give it back :(( and I honestly cannot remember buying anything special or decent with the money and just kept it to gamble away but usually in bigger amount's .

You can do this fella , I'm 2 yrs gamble free today and I honestly don't recognise my past life in addiction to the one that's opened up now .

If you have any questions just as :))

Talk to you soon

Alan
