Forgive me if all the following is old-hat, but since joining the site a few days ago I have been thinking a lot about the strategies I have (and will) take to beat this parasitic gambling habit. My gambling takes the form of online slots, so:
1. Self-exclude from every site I can possibly think of. Of course we all know there is a way of getting round this with new sites appearing all the time, so...
2. Install a blocking software programme and don't make a note of the password!
3. Eat well, sleep more and get out in the fresh air.
4.. Remember those TV ads with a certain well-known betting site boss always chiding that very irritating punter? Well he was always shown in very luxurious surroundings - a fabulous Paris hotel, Monte Carlo, his horseracing stables. Now I just imagine him, and all other gaming bosses, living the life of Riley ON MY MONEY! It works for me anyway.....
