Morning all. I hope everyone is having an awesome Thursday

Just a quick post (and apologies if this subject is in other forums etc) on books that have helped support people through the tough time of kicking the addiction that is Gambling.

I see on here that allot of people like Allan Carr..........I am yet to read/listen (I walk 40mins to and from work everyday so am a big fan of Audible) to him and his work but have added it to my wishlist.

Can anyone else suggest any other books that they have found beneficial. Personally I really found a book called 'Willpower Doesn't Work' by Benjamin Hardy. It really focusses on changing your environement. This act of changing your enviornment has really helped me on my journey to being GF (85 days at present).

I really look forward to peoples suggestions

Russell Brand “Freedom from our Addictions”.

The Orange Book. The Big Book. And pretty much any official Twelve Step literature.

Care to elaborate?

I am a bit of a traditionalist & feel pretty uncomfortable about the number of people on here wanting to re-write the 12 Steps (people as far as I can tell who don’t appear to have ever worked them) but I have to take my hat off to Brand...He’s bought them bang up to date & anonymity aside since there is none, he has a fantastic recovery!
