Checking in for another week.

No real urges this week if I can just keep out of the bookies I know I can beat this as I’ve self excluded from every possible moment threat with that.

Hello Mixer. Wishing you and all the other challengers a good gamble free Sunday and a great week ahead.

My username of abstainer was looking back at me in a negative way so I have abandoned it.

Different Stephens come and go so I have called on Stephen the Strong to carry on the fight. Last bet was Monday 5th February 2018.

*** Rollcall delayed today ***

Hi everyone, I'm afraid I'm under the weather (horrible cold) so will not be updating the rolllcall today ... it takes me time and care and I like to get it right. But I will catch up when I feel better but right now need to hit the sack. I feel like I've got a sickening hangover but without the beers... not good. My family got hit by the (same?) cold and I thought I swerved it but ... it got me. Take care everyone and I'll update in the net few days.

Stephen - good call changing your username, it helps 'clear the cobwebs' ready to start again. Good move, my friend!

KEEP STRONG EVERYONE, love reading the positive, realistic, gritty posts. Will respond to everyone.

Well done to everyone this week non of this is easy and its a fight everyday but remember why you come to this place and why its important to do whats right for you. Thank you for your kind messages everyone; I'm still feeling very under the weather. Hydrating like mad to help expel this cold and germs... will be back soon.

(GREAT post, that, Ineffable!)

Thank you everyone for your kind messages. I'm pleased to report I've started to rejoin the world of the living; still tired and 'dry coughing' but (hopefully) over the worst of it.

What I've decided to do is to defer the Rollcall to this Sunday; it'll be a 'bumper' edition covering the last 2 weeks!

So, standby for that. Meantime, keep strong, take care and let's keep posting - a lot of people visit this thread (and, indeed, many other threads); that means a lot of people interested in what we have to say, to see how we're feeling - we are most certainly not alone!

Hey Ineffable I’m in process of renewing my car insurance and was just checking spam as I haven’t had my quote from my existing insurer yet and I too have a free sum of money waiting in an dormant gambling account. I’m going straight there to close the account down. I’m sure this won’t be the last time it happens.

Glad to see you back Mixer I may have had a similar lurgy in new year it took about 2 week to totally shift doh.

Have a good gamble free weekend folks. Take care out there and remember if the fun doesn’t start don’t start!!

Hi guys, good to see you're recovering mixer. I'm very proud of my journey so far no gambling since 23dd December horray. Went and had my meeting at work on Monday after being off work from stress caused my skitsophrenia to come back. I was on performance management at work before I was off sick and it wasn't looking good. Thankfully in the meeting they said they'd sweep it all undur a carpet and offer me a portering job less hours 25 a week under a different boss and department. I thought brilliant accepted and with my returning health ivd worked this week and am much happier. Not been to a single poker game not even been to a pub since before new years
