Â
I'm newish.ive posted recently.i think I have a problem .i play in arcades.i normally win cos I play compensated machines.the ones that need pumped before they pay out.
I watch the pots then go for it.i chased a pot on sunday.i chased it too early and overspent.i had to leave . I ran out of cash.it never dropped the pot .but I fed it.i know when it will drop I want to back to the arcade to see if it did drop.if some lucky person got all my money.but if it never dropped.i know it will take little to drop it.
if it drops I will walk out the arcade in profit and never return.i just want this final check on one machine then it's over.my gambling.
my bankroll is too small .that's usually the cause why I lose. I can't always have enough to let the machine run its cycle.
this causes me to not have enough cash to play or I spin too high a stake run out of cash then lose.i then can't afford some bills.
I realise I'm not in the same league as the pros in the arcades.i have the same knowledge as them.but not the bankroll.or their savings and bank balance.
I just need to check that machine one more time.then it's over.cos I'm not a pro and now realise that.
it's in my head constantly.thst machine.i just need to check if it dropped a win.
I don't think im the same as others here.the ones that play manipulated online bingo or slots with no real. chance of a win or those that risk it at a casino.im the old school type that roughly know when a pot will dropÂ
but I can run out of money trying to get it to drop even if I know it is due to drop that annoys me and frustrates me. I keep saying if only my budget was higher I could have dropped it.
my wife plays to.but she can take it or leave it.she says she will let me check that machine.but I must go on my own. then it's no more gambling.i keep thinking maybe I shouldn't go.i don't know what's best.
I understand what your saying about being different, in reality though it's just the same as most people on here, doesn't matter what skill we have or Knowle we think we have, we all have a problem.
Â
The problems all differ but mainly we are all chasing a win that we can't afford to fund.
Â
Your not saying you play for fun or anything, your studying machines waiting for them to be ready to drop then chasing the drop with your own money until you either win or lose all your money.
Â
To me that is the signs of a Compulsive gambler, risk vs reward isn't always going to work in your favour, I hope the more time you are on here the more you may realise your similar the rest of us.
Â
Take care and good luckÂ
I don't play for fun .I play to win.and use as much skill as possible.low volatility machines.etc using free play.
one member of staff at the arcade said hey it's fun isn't it.
I said no.its the win I'm here for.if I wanted fun I would be playing a video gameÂ
It doesn't sound that different , your obsessed with gamblingÂ
Â
Doesn't matter if the machine drops today ,tomorrow or the next day you will be back playing
Â
I don't understand people who seem to think they can use gambling as an income source
Â
the machines , tables , odds are all designed so that you not only are playing against house edge but you cannot stop either so you will always loseÂ
Â
I don't know how old you are but running around arcades trying to win a small jackpot in coins seems like lunacyÂ
I'm in my 50s.my budget is not too big. a week's wages a month.low salary full-time hours. I split it into 4 visits a month.i tend to either make bit more than my stake.but if I get it wrong .
maybe betting too long or too high a spin.I can be down a few months of visits to arcade.i play the £100 to £500 machines.
I find those that win more often than me have bigger bankrolls and play until machine trips a win.when they know it is close to doing soÂ
when I started gambling on slots.i thought you always lose.but the manager of arcade said the arcade doesn't make as much as you think.with 94% payout on machines.the odds arent that bad.
he said it's the 2p pushers that make the most money for the arcade.cos there is no way of winning more than you put in on them.
huge payout for arcade.
so like I said I play the high odds machines that are about to drop.compensated machines.
I admit I play for the win even this site here does stake land based slots can be manipulated by the pros.
yes it's true.they can win.big bankroll.play only when pot is high.
are they obsessed.id love to hear what others think.
The Question really is do want to stop gambling or do u want to stop lossing, i had a similar situation few years back after lossing winning lossing getting money back i won a considerable amount of money i was probably about 10 times the amount of money i had lost, this only triggered further i managed to spend some of it and over the years i came close to level then i got into small debt which i paid off then went on for a number of years and i didnt go into debt it only my last relapse which was 3 months ago i lost a huge sum of money which made me realise how dangerous it was i was seeking help at the time if i had given the appropriate advice it could have saved me a huge debt i was the same i felt i had it under control as i kept towards a budget it only when i had few repeat losses for a couple months is when i lost control, the question you want to ask yourself do u want to quit, the huge win and few other wins became my down fall, dont let this case be for you i use to think how silly some people are when they win life changing money only to give it back u only realise it when it happens to you,Â
