This isn't advice, just something I've come to learn the very hard way.

You don't need advice, nor do I. If you have some intelligence, you would have already figured out that gambling to people like us is dangerous beyond measure.

What you need, and I need this too. Is a very serious wake up call to making a commitment to yourself, that you will not self harm this way again. I've failed, over and over and over again on this.

That is the only help you really need, to bring up the commitment in you, to better your life.

No piece of advice or a mountain of knowledge/tricks/self bans etc will help if you lack the above. Believe me, because I've searched for these answers.

Hi Kieran,

Welcome to the Forum!

You have come to the right place. I noticed that you have posted in "new members", too and I hope that you will find this forum supportive and helpful in your quest to stop gambling.

If you are looking for more advice, such as strategies which might help you stop and other support available to you, you might like to contact the GamCare HelpLine on 0808 8020133 or the internet chat-based NetLine http://secure.gamcare.org.uk/netline/

You can speak to an advisor in private on both services between 8am and midnight every day.

Kind wishes

Gabriele
