Hi guys

I consider myself to have a gambling problem i this is probably the first time i've accepted it and the first positive action i've taken

When i was a student i used to play poker, alot. I can honestly say that during that time I actually made several thousand pounds ..... but it gave me a taste for the thrill of gambling.

Since i left uni and started working i don't have time to play poker but i buy scratch cards and i bet on sports to get my fix. I can go for weeks without placing a bet then it feels like i bindge and loose a chunk of cash, several hundred in a few bets.

I can just about get by financially when this happens but i'm worried that one day i'll do something really stupid. I haven't got into any debt but what's worst for me is that is affects my mood greatly, it makes me hate myself and I lie to my friends and people i love, if i've lost 200, i'll say i lost 20 or that i haven't bet at all etc. and it needs to stop.

I'm not exaclty sure what i'm expecting from this post but maybe someone can share some experiences or advice

Thanks
