So a week has passed since my last bet. Well 6 days but I'm confident I'm going one more day without a bet.
Ive been more happy in the last 7 days then I have been all year. The feeling for gambling is still strong but as the days past it's getting less and less. Reading everyone's forums on here is helping me out and preventing the addiction to take over once more.
I have added up all my transactions this year alone and have gambled a mighty £9,000 give or take. Which makes me sick. That's 9000 I could have saved. New car or deposit for a house!!! I have 3500 to pay off in debt arrears which I will pay by then end of July. I'm not spending a penny on myself until I'm debt free.
I feel strongly about beating this addiction and reading the forums is keeping me strong. A big thanks to all of you and more so those who comment and help me survive another day.

You are in a good place, getting stronger will help you move forward. I like the way you focus on the benefits you can already see. The money is gone and you are re-paying your debt. You are taking responsibility.

Good luck and glad you are gamble free, i would however not recommend not spending a penny on yourself until your debt is paid off. Although it seems like a good idea, it may not be. I thought the same myself but denying yourself things/items might push you back to wanting to gamble, you need to be in a good place to be able to take care of yourself and your debt. Yes pay your debt off but take care of yourself and family too.
