Hi has anyone got any advice around self excluding from physical shops? I have self excluded from all online gambling but having cash and popping into a bookies is so quick and easy. I have seen something about taking in some copies of your passport photo and filling a form out, but will this exclude me from all branches of that particular chain? For example if I self exclude in the town I work will this mean I get flagged if I visit another location of the same bookies? It will be almost impossible to self exclude from every single bookies between my home and work there are so many and I just wondered if anyone had any advice at all?

Hi Rachell,

Please consider calling the freephone for 'MOSES'

MOSES (Multi-Operator Self-Exclusion Scheme; for high street betting shops)

0800 294 2060

https://self-exclusion.co.uk/

If you like, you can register with them to exclude from multiple shops from different high street betting conpanies. (They may not be able to agree a self-exclusion from all branches in a chain like you asked, but they may be able to agree a self-exclusion that covers multiple shops around locations that you might be at risk of using, like the areas around your home or workplace).

Please call us on our freephone at any time if you'd like to talk further about this or other recovery issues.

Take care,

Adam.
