Hi everyone
I have found these small but effective changes are helping me at the moment, after 5/6/ time of quitting online gambling
hopefully this will be my final attempt to stop before I Iose everything to this awful addiction including my family ....So here goes
I am now having my wages paid into my partners account from my next payday and put gamban on my pc , so he will have control over my money and will know everything I spend untill I am able to manage my own money it seems drastic and I hate having no money in my bank ,but it is better than sleepless nights all the lying and hiding blowing most of my wages in the 1st few days making excuses to him why i'm short of money ,it is very hard but I try to keep busy silly things like doing housework properly instead of rushing it so I had a cpl of hours to gamble before he came home, all the things I've neglected i'm trying to concentrate on them, I'm taking one day at a time and try my hardest to think about the good things I used to do before it got me hooked... so thats it for now hopefully I don't give in again but instead try enjoying my life without gambling .
good luck to you all

Hi izzy that's the best way, my husband can't have money, he's 47. 30 years and he's just realised! You just get used to it. Find a new hobby that makes you happy, not just housework. Good luck!
Hi Izzy
Sounds like a healthy approach. I've just posted in the debates section about how being truthful in general is important and am going to try and embark on a programme of not lying from now on. Lets see how it goes.

Well the 1st few attempts at stopping and being "Honest"was me not always telling him about everything mainly money i'd borrowed ,payday loans ect...always left one or more out but this time I told him everything he was very hurt AGAIN and it will take a long long time to trust me but I guess thats the price you pay ... but it does feel good not to lie and trying to work money out to cover what you've lost.... so onwards I go trying to get my life back to normal
