Hi

I last logged on and edited my GF number 392 days ago which is pretty mental. I have gambled within this time but it has been controlled believe it or not. I found cutting up all my cards and never dealing with cash being very helpful. Just using Apple Pay and being on Gamstop has probably saved me a fortune these 392 days. I would buy scratch cards whenever I found myself at a check out though, and whenever i won and was given the cash I would either spend it on more scratch cards, or i would take £5-£100 to a bookies and play on really low stakes 25p/50p and sometimes it worked out, others  it didnt. Ultimately it all came from a fiver scratch card win and i was unable to withdraw more money to continue gambling once that had gone as i now no longer had any cards and relied on Apple Pay for my shopping etc.

So why am i back here with such a full proof system in place then 😛 ?

I've found myself spending so much time on my iphone ive felt like its started to become another unhealthy problem. I could never be separated from it and always had to have it close to me, if not in my hand then nearby at all times. I feel like ive been neglecting myself and my future lately while i stare down at this device all day long. So 3 days ago i decided to rid myself of my iphone, i put it on ebay and made £420 for it. Ive re ordered my bank card and now im going to have to use the card now to pay for things and not apple pay.

My card is due to be with me in the post on monday and i feel so nervous for it to get to me. I havnt given myself access to my money at ATM's for over a year and im worried that the urge to withdraw my money will be too much and ill blow everything with now having access. I know getting rid of my phone is the right thing to do because i feel my life is passing me by with that device on my being as i feel like im staring at it all day, and, franky the extra cash ive got from selling it is gonna be really helpful. I am so nervous for this card to get here though on monday and im gonna have yet another expensive 'blip' that used to happen 392 days ago.

I'm here for some support and some chat I guess. Hope everyones weekends going good.

I think we all spend a lot of time on our phones. Its not really a bad thing, you can use your phone for talking to family, friends. Reading, watching YouTube videos etc. Anything but gambling is good I guess. Unless you live in an area you could do physical activity like hiking, camping, fishing etc then try and do that. But yeah I agree, its good to have a well balanced lifestyle.

Hi

It took time to not take up other addictions and obsessions, I still wanted to deviate and escape facing my emotions and my feelings.

In time I would learn to limit myself on computers and toys of escape.

Even television programs became a way of escaping getting things done.

It was important for me to learn how to relax some thing which was healthy for me.

To move from obsessions and to have balance in my life.

Love and peace to every one.
