Clarkey, delighted to hear it and remember, never forget, to cherish what you have.

Don't throw it away and it's easy to make sure you don't: just remind yourself, every morning, what you are blessed with and that you are not going to gamble, no matter what. No matter what.

NO MATTER WHAT.

We all know: It matters and the upside is well worth it.

Thank you for your kind comments Clarkey, they are very much appreciated. I take the view in life that if you freely help others, without agenda or expectation, then it helps you personally too. Create good vibes and good vibes spread! It's 'karma' and there's a lot around on this forum and wedchat 🙂

You are making huge strides Woodley as, step by step, piece by piece, the 'jigsaw' of a happier life slowly fits into shape. Being GF always helps those pieces find where they need to go, rather than have them move around aimlessly and hopelessly...!

Hi Jayd, hang in there mate, winter will soon be behind us and the outlook suddenly looks so much brighter. It's going to get much warmer very soon and, you're right, time to make some plans. Weekend coming up; keep gritting your teeth, as we all are, day by day as we earn our right to stay in the happier, richer (in all senses of the word) GF world.

Quick update for everyone - the Rollcall returns on Saturday. I'm away and don't have access to our data (it's stored on Excel.) I'll be working on some interesting facts and figures looking at how we're all getting on, too. So a big update for everyone on Saturday!

Nicely put babapapa, we've got to look after the planet and removing countless gambling entries from our bank statements do just that 🙂

Checking in on Day 70!

10 weeks today!!!

Downloaded a blocker I found yesterday & it's working a treat...Absolutely blocks ALL gambling sites yayyyyyyy!

On the downside it won't let me into chat on here but hey ho small price to pay to feel safe, just means I can't use chat on tablet but can on my phone. Not been able to get blocker working on phone but should be OK, I've never used my phone for gambling & have NO intention of starting 🙂

It's Free and works on iOS Android & laptops & PC.... Took a bit of time to work out how to set it up but I got there in the end 🙂

If anyone needs a blocker Google Qustodio and have a look...Way better than k9 in my opinion, I always found ways round k9.

Stay safe everyone!

Mari x

Thank you for news of this new Android blocker Mari that, as you say, is better than K9 and ... Free! As you say, it blocks this site but you can load it on your mobile. I wonder if it's worth alerting Gamcare to this new product? Would you like me to 'tip them the wink' via the Feedback thread?

Happy days, Mari, finding another weapon to attack the gambling monster. I like to picture this 'monster' scurrying off for another day.... 🙂

Still GF.

And the important word there is - FREE

I thought I would share my daily routine, in the hope it may help someone else.

Every morning before I even get up, I focus on what I will gain by staying FREE of my addiction (rather than what I would lose by submitting to its evil).

I remind myself of what gambling has stopped me doing and achieving and how that has also had a knock on effect on my family.

I visualise what life will look like without it.

I try to be as specific as I can (the people I will be with, the places I will be, imagining feelings, seeing places, even the smells and tastes).

Then I remind myself this is not only possible, this is the reality that I am building by choosing not to gamble today.

I finally celebrate that I am another day closer to what I want and deserve.

Life is good If you let it be, just stay totally committed, just for today.
