*** ROLLCALL OF SUCCESS *** Many congratulations must go to jayD on reaching your 100 days GF two days ago. A fantastic achievement, JayD - really streadfastly going for this. Our team applauds you.

Thank you, everyone, for checking in, updating your dairies etc. and there are some fantastic GF totals cumulating all round. We all read and we all notice, team - it's all good. It's a difficult time of the month, too - payday's near or about to be upon many of us - so let's be extra vigilant. Katiecoo got it right in her post on this thread the other day - gambling isn't normal; certainly not the compulsive stuff we have all known for too long. Let's be normal and embrace a better life; normal is good!

*** JOKE OF THE DAY ***

There once was pirate captain who, whenever it looked like a battle would be imminent would change into a red shirt. After observing this behaviour for a few months, one of the crew members asked him what it meant.

"It's in case I get shot. I don't want you crew members to see blood and freak out."

"That's very sensible, sir."

At that moment, the crew member spotted eight hostile ships on the horizon.

The captain all of a sudden looked very concerned.

"Get my brown pants!"

Hi there.

Please add me to the 100 day challenge. I have returned here after abstaining for just over two and a half years. Thought I could handle a bit of gambling once a month.... The rest is history. Thankfully, after a few months of returning to gambling and realising it is becoming financially problematic again, I want to return to abstinance..

Day 5 for me.

Thanks.

Our Lady.

I am personally delighted with your post fiddlesticks; recovering compulsive gamblers like us tend to binge gamble, and to stay GF for a period spanning two pay days, like you, shows real intent.

Keep it going, day by day, fiddlesticks - and delighted that you are choosing LIFE over misery.

Your post has put a spring in my step today, because you don't just galvanise yourself, you help others reading it; saying that, with help, support and collective determination, we can steer a path and manage, control, this affliction we all have.
