7 days done, again! Feeling positive at the minute.

Just about to start serious training as soon as the kids go back to school, so enjoying myself for the time being.

Stay strong

Hi all,

Back again. No real change since last logging on. I go weeks and weeks without gambling and then back to my old ways again.

Have to admit I am really getting sick of this now. I will once again attempt to check in once a day on here and continue the fight.

Feel terrible tonight!

This time please,

Russ

Day 1(again)

Going to keep busy today and think positive thoughts. Have set up a savings jar which I will put £10 a day into and hopefully spend it on something nice for the family if I can get to 100 days, that is the initial aim.

Stay strong

Hi russ

Setting up a savings jar is all very well but are you doing anything else, differently, to break the 30 year habit?

1 week in

Good feeling and no urges at all so far. All blocks in place, so am not sure how I would gamble if I wanted to, which takes a lot of the stress away.

Day 8

Still going strong and am determined to sign in to this diary everyday for the 1st 100 days at least. The last time I became over confident and didn't sign in, and returned to gambling. This will not happen again!

£80 in the pot

Days 9 &10

No problems for now. Was away yesterday so couldn't sign in.

Absolutely broke atm so couldn't gamble if I wanted to. I'm sure there are more trying times ahead, but hopefully I'm capable of defeating them this time.

Stay strong

Day 11

I have been reading a discussion on another diary regarding people posting the same thoughts over and over, only to return to their same old routine. I then re read my own diary and realised how lame it looks to keep going 10/20/30 days and then disappear for 3 months, only to return and then expect everyone to believe that this time will be different.

As far as I'm aware, I have every block in place to prevent online gambling(which is my only problem), and will keep reading my diary at regular intervals to remind me of previous failures.

For now all is well

Stay strong

Russ
