Thank you Lisa, Bella & Sharon for visiting my diary. The support of gamcare friends means a lot to me.

The weekend has been good. I watched a video at a friends house tonight and enjoyed a chilli made with quorn mince (very tasty.) The film was called "Finding Your Feet" and was really good.

A new week has arrived. Seven gamble free days for me to work on my recovery. Here's a silly verse I once posted on a other thread:

Monday's child keeps off the slots and doesn't have a bet

Tuesday's child has realised it doesn't do to fret

Wednesday's child stays off the fobts and takes the spouse to dinner

Thursday's child is gamble free so surely is a winner

Friday's child avoids the dogs and galloping horses too

Saturday's child with family enjoys a treat or two

And the child that's born on sabbath day can laugh, dance and sing, regardless of the challenges that life can sometimes bring

Hi Stephen

Yes, 7 more gamble free days await you.

All is good in your life gambling wise at present and long may it continue. Not only are you gamble free but you go out of your way to encourage and motivate others, an inspiring role model for everyone.

Take care.

Shaun

Just got comfy in the sack and turned on the alarm

A chance to have a little read or write a silly rhyme

I'm feeling quite delighted and happy as can be

For one more day as passed me by and still I'm gamble free ... Stephen

Love reading your poems Stephen. Keep up the good work mate you're doing ever so well. One day at a time we shall beat this illness together. Take care. Pras

Thank you Pras. I appreciate your kind words of support.

Hello Diary ...All is well in my world. Tomorrow night my lady friend and I are off to the theatre and I am very excited. Never in my life have I been to a Ballet but tomorrow I will be seeing the "Russian State Ballet" performing "Nutcracker."

It might not be everyone's cup of tea but I do like dancing and good music so no doubt I will enjoy every minute of it...Stephen

Hi Stephen hope you enjoyed the ballet. I saw The Nutcracker probably 30years ago at the Festival Hall in London. Amazing, beautiful story. Good for the soul!

Thankyou for visiting my diary Merry go round, Shiny, Sharon, Lisa & Bella.

I am pleased to report that I had a wonderful evening yesterday at the theatre. The ballet "Nutcracker" was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of it. The dancing was just unbelievable. Great music, costumes and scenery.

I strongly recommend it to anyone but would advise going on YouTube prior to seeing the performance, to better understand what the story is all about...Stephen
