Great news Shaun and about bl**dy time! Maybe sites like this also have some feed into this kind of issue from the stories they see and how this awful illness can effect so many people - which goes undetected until things are way out of control. I posted a link on another forum thread about the Gambling Commission consultation on Proposals to strengthen age and identity verification for online gambling. I completed it where I could and made my point about my concerns, anyone wanting to add their views I think it closes 28th nov..... on another note, pay day today! I WILL have money left this month and I WILL NOT GAMBLE 🙂

Hi guys

You couldn’t make it up, my post yesterday about gambling establishments meeting to clean up their advertising, low and behold on sky news today a report on how children with gambling issues has quadrupled because of gambling advertising.

Just goes to show how corrupt society is, particularly those at the top.

However, it gives us ex-gamblers even more resolve to stay stopped as we now have seen gambling for what it is, a clever machine that will do whatever it can to survive and con people.

The gambling industry is a modern day d**k Turpin, that’s all, looking to rob whoever participates. It will not care if someone spends the rent, mortgage, food, kids savings etc money, it will just take.

I agree. We live in a controlled society with money at its core. Goverment has known "forever" how destructive and corrosive gambling is to its citizens but at the same time allows gambling to flourish in the high street and on the internet knowing exactly what will happen. It rakes the money in and then uses these billions in its projects to manipulate us, divide us and make us easier to control. Just my opinion

Exactly my thoughts S.A., if they wanted to help us they could but where would they get their 21% in tax from gambling firms.

Everything is manipulated and they only tell us what they want, even the press isn’t free.

Hi guys

Weekend is here again, doesn’t time fly.

As always, let’s fast forward to Monday morning and look at two scenarios, first one is that feeling of spending time with loved ones, shopping in the Black Friday sales, going out for meals etc. Now the second one of lying, cheating, running from bookies to bookies to cash points and worrying about what you are going to do at the start of the week with no money after a horrific loss over the weekend gambling.

Doesn’t it feel good not to participate in the second scenario? NOTHING WORSE THEN A DESTROYED GAMBLER.

Have a great weekend folks, speak soon.

Hi guys

Start of another week and remember :-

We will not place that first bet.

We will never question our decision to stop gambling.

8th Dec is day before I move.. Find out where the meal is being held. Suss out a plan before you get there. That isn't thought out is it. Not good for a gambler whose quit. Kaz is right it will be a test. Maybe not drink and your be more in control? Don't take any cards with you.

Hi Sean, Well done on reaching 80 days. Will soon be at the big 100. Keep up the work and be very mindful at Christmas do. Personally I’m going to avoid such situations in the future. But each to there own. Take care.
