Two years a lot has changed I’ve changed,

Something happened yesterday that was ment to break me, it come from the person that’s ment to protect me , was this a surprise not really, just got me thinking about my own behaviour and how I react to situations now ,I’m proud of how far I have come I won’t be running to slots for comfort , instead I’m going to take a pj day and reflect then come back tomorrow stronger then the day before

@vinnie

Hi

For me I found that being in recovery my steel was going to be tested in how I dealt with unhealthy difficult situations more often.

My unhealthy reactions changed and I would understand more about my unhealthy triggers.

Things that use to make me go in to a full rage made me laugh.

My wife to look at me as to say what have you done with my husband,

Yet the more aware we are the more alert is not fear based.

Once we heal more the pains get healed and the deep seated trauma is resolved.

In the recovery program my emotional and physical grew closer together.

The recovery program is a healing process.

I use to doubt myself so much.

Once we reduce our expectations of people life and situations we stop hurting our self.

Love and peace to every one.

Dearest Zoe (Vinnie)

You have battled bravely in overcoming the urges to gamble and are now over 2 years gamble free.

Throughout that time you have given love, support and encouragement to family and friends.

You have also been a good friend and confidant to many who have walked beside you in gamcare.

Despite dalays and upheaval you persevered and started a new chapter in your life when moving into your new home.

Your bravery, courage and resilience have shown you to be a woman of your word. A lady of honour who has always behaved with honesty and integrity. A true warrioress who stands up for what she believes in.

You are indeed deserving of respect and I salute your many achievements.

Stephen ?

Noble is our Vinnie

A warrioress of note

Waylaid by addiction

She stood her ground and fought

Guarded by a righteous shield

Integrity her sword

Side by side respectfully

Gamcare friends applaud

Two and a half years gamble-free

This legend journeys on

Hope forever in her heart

And on her lips a song

Took me a little longer to bounce back mentally from the betrayal from a family member this time , but feel ok atm ready to take on the day and get back into fitness, put a little weight on from not smoking or exercising but that’s ok was to be expected , the money side of not smoking or gambling is a amazing feeling  just being able to do little things in life ?

@vinnie

Hi

You say it took you a little longer to bounce back mentally, do you think that pain caused is being healed and resolved.

I do hope you get great pleasure from your fitness.

I to have put on some weight in recent years.

To stop smoking is a very healthy choice.

There have been who have saved money from not smoking and put it towards holidays or some thing special they wanted or needed.

Some even put 10 per day in to a glass bowl so they can see the money grow.

Giving up the unhealthy habits of smoking and gambling is very powerful.

Some times getting the little things done in our life has a big impact on us in healthy ways.

Often asking myself how come it took me so long to get more carrying about myself.

Love and peace to every one.

Thought I’d do a quick update ,

fell sleep this afternoon so still up,

fitness is going well just ordered a weighted vest to put on for walks and squats,

I’m happy with the friends/family I’m around,

life is good, I will always be a compulsive gambler on guard but for today I will not gamble.

Hi

Thought I’d do a quick update ,

It is refreshing to a nap in the afternoon,

Some times we do not even know we need it.

As I got more motivated it helps me physically but also I became sharper in myself.

A weighted vest sound slike a good idea.

Be careful not to cause your self stress by pushing your self to hard.

It is very and good happy healthy friends and a healthy family.

Some times you will find people who are still involved with addictions react strange to oru new recovery.

I am pleased for you as your life is good today.

Me to I will always be a compulsive gambler yet each the last thing I want or need to do is Gamble.

Being in my recovery I have exceeded so many skills at one time I thought were impossible.

Every tool I buy and use helps me financially and imporoves my skills.

Yesterday I repaird our home vacuum system, I needed to replace two cables and sockets it is great now.

Just for today I will not gamble.

When I was asked how I was I use to say I was fine.

I was lying to myself and others and thought I was being clever.

Now in my therapie if I have certain emotional triggers I talk about them.

To live my life fully with out any fears is very powerful.

The most important things in m ylife today is healthy realtionships and our time.

To make the most of each and every day that I live.

Love and peace to everyone
