Keeping busy is key to a good recovery. Try not to do something just as because it seems better than gambling, do something you enjoy and can see a positive result at the end. Some days are better than others but the longer you get between the now and your last piece of action, the stronger you become.

Take care

Morning diary,

Today isnt a good day for me as i have lied to you for the past week.. i didnt go on any gambling sites dont get me wrong but its still just as bad..I have been playing on second life for a few weeks trying to earn virtual currency for a little extra income..if you're not familiar with second life its basically a virtual world where you can do just about anything.. your avatar can be edited into what ever you choose. you are able to walk, move, run fly..its almost like the sims 3 but more advanced.. and you have options to either buy virtual currency or earn it.. i have been earning it but because second life even has gaming areas you pay to play in the virtual world. i also bought so much currency it equaled to about 160.00. lost almost all of it because second life even has gaming areas you pay to play in the virtual world. what little i had left i bought a fishing rod to gain experience and earn more virtual currency you can cash out for real currency. i stopped buying currency yesterday..and im hoping to earn what i lost back..might take me a few weeks but i doubt my husband will let me keep the game on which i cant blame him i cant believe i had another relapse.. i was doing so well and now i feel useless and sick

Hi Nikki,

Well done for navigating through some stormy waters. Every day is different indeed. Enjoy the good days and let the bad ones pass. It can be difficult at the time, but you are in control of your future and making the right choice each day will take you where you want to be. More good days will come into your life, never let the belief go, we live only once - make the most of your life. You are worth all good things coming your way.

Have a good week, stay calm and carry on.

Day at a time

Sandra x
