Hi Elizabeth (((((E))))))

No wonder you couldn't sleep, thinking of all that pooey stuff! I used to struggle to sleep, and you can overcome it. I have a "happy place" that I go in my imagination. It is a beautiful walled garden, with a hammock and the second I step into it I know that this is my sanctuary where everything is exactly as I wish. I hear whatever I want to hear, and I see whatever I want to see. I feel warm sunlight on my skin, and my rabbit jumps up into my hammock and snuggles up with me : ) I can make whatever I want to, happen in my happy place. It feels blissful!

Maybe next time you are agitated at night, you can close your eyes and create your own sanctuary? It also works if you can't get your mind off upsetting events or memories.

Wishing you a peaceful night tonight. You are doing great, and I am pleased you are here.

Take care,

f x

Hey E

Wowzer that was a ramble lol but I'm sat here writing this to you and you made me really smile, and gave me hope that anything can be done.

When I first started my diary I thought I'd be in a minority as gambling was a mans thing, but its nice to find some great gals on here who are going through or have gone through this nightmare of gambling and come out the other end and continue to fight this addiction.

Keep going strong cos us ladies can do anything be anything and achieve anything and your proof of that.

Alisha x

Hi Gals

Research shows that there are more and more women gamblers finding their way into recovery every day. I think internet has alot to do with it. Anyhows keep fighting the fight one day at a time. Make sure tomorrow is a good one. If things aren't going too well remember to smile and think "At least I didn't gamble". Take care

Hiya E...I think you have done bloody marvellous..and you should be proud of yourself...you sound one fab lady, one fab mum and one fab inspiration to many many people....You're a true survivor and now someone who lives rather than exsists......you can be yourself now and not controlled .

I also know exactly how that is and how that freedom in the mind is so precious,

Time for us all to live now ....

On the sleep thing ...I was pacing around in my head last night, couldn't sleep...something that helps me but feel free to ignore if it sounds a right load of hippy s**t....

lie on me back...lights out...small breath in count of 1 then breathe out of 5... repeat small breath in and then breathe out to count of 10...and so on...keep making that out breath longer and longer..

Think Fredas happy place is also cool idea too..I've got too much of a jumpy brain so i'm rubbish at visuals.I will try it though and have patience......take care hun...sleeps and good vibes.....Rach n Doo (((xxx)))xx
