Hi Linda, thanks for the post. I dont know why i keep doing it, im generally unhappy with my life, boredom, stress, worry but like u said its my personal choice in doing it. Im all over the place now, couldnt sleep last night, to tell u the truth just thinking about drinking tonight to numb the pain and feed my other addiction, alcohol! Im doing to end up dead like my sister or on my own if i dont wise up! Need to be more positive i've cracked it before and i can do it again, day at a time, (going to post office soon to post these letters!)

hi gav

yes you can do it and you do need to be positive because whats the alternative? More heartache, more losses and ending up with nothing or noone.

I would say numbing any problems with drink will only delay dealing with them. Stop running away from these and start now to tackle them.

Life doesnt need to be one big mess because of drink and gambling. there is so much more out there if you really really want it. Make small goals every day and it will build your confidence when you achieve them.

All the best

Linda

Thanks Linda, yeah decided tonight im not going to drink, i've a big meeting on tomorrow so really could do with a clear head and a decents nights sleep.

Big week ahead of me But going into it with a more Positive frame of mind. Posted them self exclusion forms at lunch = postive step = wrote a diary entry for today = postive step, not going to take a drink tonight OR gamble = positive step.

Then with clear mind tomorrow make my plans re finances on my week off work. My plan so far is to lift enough cash and leave my cards in work although inconvenient would be very wise!
