Great work on 100 days gamble free Chartom3, keep fighting them urges and using the days clocking up as an incentive not to gamble. A great start in your recovery, now it's 200 days 🙂

Day 109...... big test for me today home alone all weekend and in the past this is when i would have been gambling sometimes large amounts of money. Know the temptation is going to be strong so will try to keep busy and my mind occupied with other things. Thought after passing 100 days it would get easier but if anything its getting more difficult.......

Day 119 doing ok but find myself looking at odds on betting sites but cause i have all blocks in place i cant place a bet thankfully. Know that life is better without gambling but small part of me still wants the money back i have lost, really need to let it go to be able to move on in my recovery......

Day 127..... finding it a real struggle at the moment keep looking at odds and thinking if i done this or that bet i could make some of my lost money back. Know i cant afford to act on these thoughts but am finding it tough. Really dont want to go back to day 1 so trying to keep busy and my mind occupied with other things.....

Hey chartom fantastic going on 127 days, those stupid thoughts will come and go friend, but it would be utter utter madness to act on them, Simply because you would lose even more and that is just not money, stay strong and win the only way we do win, by abstaining and maintaining, just think if you went back, it would be totally pointless and disastrous ( think I spelt it right Dr Google didn't come up lol)

Stay strong and tighten your guard up even tighter now, you are doing great.

Just to echo that...You are doing brilliantly 🙂

Keep occupied & stop looking & the odds...We cannot win because we cannot stop! It doesn't matter what you could do or might win, you would give it all back eventually anyway until all you have left is more debt plus all the stesses & strains that bought you in search of recovery in the 1st place! As you said, you must draw a line under your losses otherwise you will struggle going forwards! Have you considered investigating what led you to gamble in the 1st place? I spent a lot of my recovery thinking it was all about the money but I'm starting to come round to the idea that it isn't!

You can do this - ODAAT

Good to hear from you mate and glad ur still gamble free. Definetely things looking up over at Ibrox and just got me and the youngest season tickets so really looking forward to this season and hopefully good times are back but still not 100% convinced by our new chairman. Yes start of football season is the hardest but just need to try and not look at odds. My problem is i know i can bet on football and enjoy and at end of season would be round about level if not up but it always leads to other things and that is when things spiral out of control so thats why I know i can't place one bet.

Keep fighting them...You are stronger than any urge & with 6 months of winning under your belt, you really are showing this addiction who is boss! Don't ever forget why you came here in the 1st place...Gambling has nothing to offer except heartache & guilt! With gambling, we cannot win because we cannot stop!

Keep fighting - ODAAT
