Thank you for taking the time to read my story and yes, what a roller coaster ! in many respects we are alike ! i am a little bit older than you but what is a couple of years ! i am not sure if having a small amount of betting tokens or earning a huge salary for large betting tokens makes a difference ? it does with us however ! it is greed, greed, greed and the highs of winning ! why do we need to bet when we earn good money ? its sick is it not ? well i try not to make you sick anytime soon.

If we win , all it is that we win is more betting tokens to give away when we lose next time !

Lets kick this disease out of our life, we are better/smarter and need to regain control of the only part of our life that is out of control. Keep in touch CRL, i will be watching out for you. Dark Place /

Vegas Story part 2.

The numbers on the history box are showing four blacks in a row, i pick up my 2 pink chips and feeling great because i am yet to lose. Dealer See's me walking away " Thank you sir best of luck" he says " Cheers im sure ill see you again i say" with a big bright smile on my face.. As im walking away i hear the dealer voice its louder than usual " Will it be another black or is the red due?" I laugh inside i'm not falling for that TRAP.

The casino is very beautiful so much money spent on it ....of course all us suckers money. The theme seems to be Asian Style with lots of red and so many dangling flowers from the ceiling. I only look at the decorations for a split second as i'm not really interested in the artwork decor etc, GAMBLE GAMBLE GAMBLE time the DEVIL is saying on my right shoulder.

"YES get in there PAY US THE MAHOONEEEY" i hear some random guy shouting to the craps dealers. The players are all cheering everyone's so happy, man i have to get in on this action seems the table is hot. I steal some space in one of the corners of the table and get my pink chips ready to be changed into smaller denominations. As the dice are picked up by the guy i very quickly throw on a 100$ pink chip on the FIELD BET, i need NUMBERS 2, 3, 4, 9 , 10,11 or 12 to double my money with the NO 12 coming would be tripling my bet. Dice leaves his hand crashes against the back board and i look down i see a 6 and ???? come on another 6 please!!!! dice still turning and stops..... it's a "4" oh well it's Ok total is 10 i win! another quick easy 100$. This time i have a little more time and i change my now 3 pink 100$ chips in to a a load of 5$ chips.

"Sir can i get you a drink?" it's the lovely waitress from earlier.. i say " Jack and coke and... " "Budweiser" she says... beats me to it... "YES ha ha, you remembered? here sweetie here's 10 dollars tip for you" You see for me i am actually a very generous person when i have money i do like to spend on others splash it around. It's just a shame for so many friends and family i have gambled it all away before my generosity even gets a chance to spend on others.

10 mins or so later and waitress returns with my drink i thank her and look down at my chips, i have what seems like a million 5$ chips and a couple of pink ones mixed in there too. The original dice thrower has changed as he hit a 7 out earlier but the current guy is doing well and hit a hard 10 which i had 10$ on that bet and it paid me back 90$ sweet!!!. Well just as i'm about to take a drink of my jack n coke he throws the dice i stall the sip of my drink quickly look down at the dice and nice! A (HARD 6) 3 + 3 whoop another 90$ or so. Another pink chip in my stash and the dealer says " Hand me 10$ sir i will give you a pinkie" How i love to change up chips for the bigger denomination. I stay at the table another 10 mins or so and finish my drinks i've got a little buzz going on now, well who wouldn't? 4 drinks in, winning money and in a huge new casino in Vegas. I can't get enough of this.. This is heaven this is what i'm born to do gambling is the way forward it's easy money and so so so much fun im going to make a fortune in this Casino......

Hi CL,

I've been watching your diary intently waiting for the next part of the Vegas story.

It's all good when your winning and nothing else seem's to matter. When its bad though though I have found myslef in casino's before playing £1 a spin with 10p chips with my last £5. I remember once I had spent around £1700 and had £10 left. numerous missed calls from loved one's and I sat at a 10p machine playing £1 on red or black hoping to increase it so I could start placing larger bets to try and get my money back...

All that time wasted... For nothing, even worse what I have done to my relationship's money can never replace. I was stupid and immature and I never want to be in that situation ever again.

Im interested to see what happens with the rest of your Vegas story,

Thanks Scambling, im breaking the Vegas story down into several chapters as it's a long one and don't want to bore people with one huge entry. This trip is very very real and as i tell my story you will see what depths i go into to Gamble.

Hi Cas, You are doing great ! Your Vagas story reminds me of the film ''21'' with Kevin Spacey. I am hanging on for the rest of the story ! I love your style of writing !

Congrats on 10 days of freedom and you should be very proud. Days will add up, pressure will go down and you will start seeing life in different light. You are doing great, never lose believe, it is better world out there, free of pain, lies, and self destruction...you don't need this in your life and you have a full right to start a new white sheet of your better and calmer future to come. You are doing it - upwards and onwards!!!

I can relate to your story CL only maybe on a slightly smaller scale, I never want to go back because the way you feel on a high is not as bad as the low you feel when you lose.

Vegas story part 3...

Leaving the craps table I'm so happy with now around 8 or 9 pink chips as i cashed up all those 5$ chips. I can feel i'm extremely hungry as now it's been around 8hrs since i last ate food on the flight here, topped up now with a few beers and jack n coke i should eat BUT my hunger to gamble is far superior, i will eat later i tell my stomach.. Ooooh wow look at that machine over there just behind the roulette tables it's one of those where 4 or 6 of you can play at the same time and it activates a random bonus round on a huge big screen . I definitely want to play that one.. I forgot to mention that i have about 10,000$ in my pocket and have 3 credit cards with around 12000 UK pounds credit available on all 3 of them for back up. I didn't even use the safe in my room and be sensible and only take say 1000$ cash with me and think sensibly about a budget of say 1000$ a day if all goes wrong, Nope! not me i have to carry all of it around in the casino so stupid of me .. Does this sound familiar if you have a winning day? You return back to the venue you won from and take all the winnings? it's all so routine for me..

I am walking towards this big slot machine there is two seats available, i take my seat and put in 100$ and start pressing the buttons. After about 10 mins im not really winning or losing just normal basic wins and then the Bonus round is activated unfortunately my seat is not illuminated as being activated it's this lady opposite me. I'm still excited as i want to see what the Bonus pays. The bonus is a type of jelly bean that bounces all over the reels and once it stops it becomes a wild and every spinning round you have the chance for more. So potentially all the reels can become a wild and win like a $50000 jackpot. Her bonus round is not great 15 free spins and she gets only 3 jelly bean wilds and there in poor positions to make any good money and she ends her bonus round with like 12$. I think she is only playing 0.25 cents a spin so for her stake i guess she's happy. I continue playing for another 30 mins and i have already fed the machine now 3 100$ bills, you see for me once that happens i can't leave a slot machine until i at least get a bonus round i mean come on 300 im due right? sound familiar?. Whilst im getting inpatient now, i spot the AUTO spin button i click it and decide to look at the roulette table behind me, the one i won 100 on earlier. I don't see any particular numbers in the history box so just decide to try my luck. I go over it's a different dealer i hand over 2 pink chips of my 9 and say 5s please. I lay out on the table about 100 worth and dealer spins the ball, i throw a pink chip and shout my usual numbers 2 and 4 neighbors 3 and 32 im always wanting 19 and or zero to hit for the best numbers. So ive bet out 200 and looking excitedly at the ball going round and round and slowing down. the ball slows down and is teasing me to dropping in my section but grrrr it goes past now in my head im saying don't drop don't drop,.... it rolls past the worst section arrives at my section now im screaming drop ball drop lol, Nope it continues past my section and lands on one of my numbers i detest with a passion "(16)" says the dealer and then the phrase i hear all so often " neighbor bets down" meaning i lose. 200 gone that fast, i sigh look over at my machine its not illuminated so bonus rd not activated yet sigh. I throw over another pink chip at dealer ask for 5s quickly look in my hand down to 4 pink chips. Ball is rolling i say repeat neighbor bets please. She take the chips places them on the inner circle neighbor bet numbers and we both look at the ball it drops again in the TIER section. Ugh missed again it's the other side of the wheel. The calm happy buzzed me has now become THE CHASER got to get those 5 pink chips back, So i up my bet of course, i say 2-4 and 3-32 neighbors and 200 in 5s please. That's all the pink chips used now. Well i don't need to tell you where the ball ends up. So another loss. I walk over to my slot machine and i see the auto spin has used up my credits i reach into my pocket and pull out another 100 and repress the auto spin. I pause for a minute looking for the waitress as im thirsty a little peeved that ive just lost all the pink chips in 3 spins or so. I spot the waitress and ask for my usual drinks, she smiles and i don't tip at this point my only money are 100$ bills. So i decide i will break a $100 at the roulette table into 5s and place 95$ out and keep a 5$ tip for the waitress. Last time was a $10 tip for the waitress this time it will only be $5 as i can't afford it.... Can't afford it w*f???? i have $9500 in my pocket and i can't afford another 5$ tip because like most of us we need those chips to gamble we need the capital the fuel the vouchers. The ball has dropped again in wrong section lost again. Ok i give up here i mutter,, not gonna chase it. Need to relax and go back to the slot machine. Already the machine has gobbled up 60$ only $40 credits showing. I take off auto gamble go back to manually pushing the button.

Waitress arrives hands me my usual 2 drinks i smile give her only 5$ tip. This machine is boring me now same old wins of a dollar here 3 dollars there nothing much happening. I finish my drinks decide to let the machine go "sod that stupid bonus" Man im so hungry i have to take a break and head to my room. Get to my room and take out the huge bundle of 100$ bills and do the MONEY CHECK. Remember earlier? well for me the Money Count is a SURE sign im losing. JEEZ i only have $9200 left. from earlier being 9 pinks up in my hand, im now down $800, I take the room service menu and order a WAGYU burger at a lovely 30$ oh well i got s**t loads of money in my pocket i can afford this burger im so hungry. As im waiting for room service to arrive, thoughts are entering my head that the food will take approx 20 mins i could quickly go back down to the Casino floor and win that $800 back!!!!.

I decide to do it, i go straight back downstairs to the casino floor. Hmm what shall i recover my money on quickly? Blackjack?? yupp not played that yet. " Hi there how are you?" says BJ dealer" Me " not so good down $800 and could do with some BJ's or 21's please" Dealer " Coming right up sir" I throw down a hundred ask for 25$ chips. I decide to play 2 boxes 25$ a hand, 1st box gives me 14 other box gives me 17 dealer shows a 10. I ask for a card on 14 and i get a 9 23 out bust i stand on the 17 and the dealer turns over a 5 (15) dealer draws a 3 (18) dealer wins. i replace my bets and play another hand they both lose. I dig deep into my pocket pull out $200 and decide now to play 2 boxes at $100 each. One hand pushes as we both have 18 my other hand loses as i hit 26. I dig into my pocket and pull out 5 hundred ask the dealer all for hundreds. Dealer shouts out " changing 500" pit boss comes over to verify the amount. We play about 20 mins or so maybe longer and i bust that $500. I am gutted feel like s**t but decide to leave goto my room. I return to my room and the food is on the table in my room. I open the tray lid and the burger is really cold and French fries are all soggy, that's because i was gone for 1 hour 25 mins playing blackjack... I don't eat much of my cold burger im too focused to do a "MONEY CHECK"... my bank roll is $8100 maybe less, great another $1000 lost in only an hour and half...

Fella glad to see you are still going through your therapy, for me you writing doe's not raise my pulse a beat simply because the casino is somewhere I have never entered, I am a compulsive gambler yet I never ventured into one.

Reading your posts are like reading a book I already know the ending of, because for us whatever our form of gambling the result is always the same.

I cannot win because I cannot stop.

There is no glory in that, just a very sobering truth.

I believe you are gifting yourself that truth through your writing, so keep putting it down, ditch the sh##it so to speak.

If nothing else the next time you feel like a punt read it back.

Especially the posts without the story in them, because for ten days you write those like a very happy man.

for that is the truth, you can make your future.
