Today is day 13. I have gambled compulsively for over 10 years and lost thousands of pounds. What has helped me this time was on 4th Feb I lost £1100 then vowed never to gamble again and put a restriction on my bank card, but on 5th Feb i got some free spins so I used them, made £80 then lost £80. I had decided to keep the gambling account open and make use of the daily frees etc but then the gambling site blocked me from any real money anything. This was what I needed, not just stopping depositing but stopping access to free daily games etc. I used to wake up and play the free daily game - now I can’t - I am distancing myself from that habit. However much we tell ourselves its a free daily game - thats how they hook us in and wagering goes from 20p bets to £5 bets. Now I know I’m vulnerable but I really want this to work this time. I need it to work. Good luck all.

This interests me so much, my partner has control of my betting account so any deposits go through her so she has to know about them, I do however use the free spins etc on the account, I also have worked out exactly how much I have staked from those "free bets" which runs into treble figures, so the addiction part is still there ticking over just not with real money

All the best

@brownie889 my advice would be to myself and to you is to stop the free spins as its their way to get you back in and hooked. I’m now day 14 and its a relief not to be able to gamble. Good luck

@annie2016 Thank you. Part of me wants to but also part of me feels okay with it all, been this way for about 3 years now.

Glad your doing well
