Hi friends. Just checking in to say hello. Still sticking with "my" program and things are going well. One day at a time as I say again and again.

This is serious. A guy I know has just started working in a Bill Hill in the city centre and I casually commented I had self-excluded from that shop among many others. He said he'd looked in the "self-exclusion book" and I wasn't in it. I consider this to be an extremely serious matter and I would appreciate any advice on how to deal with it. I do not particularly want to phone up the company or go in the shop. Anyway any advice would be great. Phil

Morning Phil , how long did you exclude for ? There's different time options so maybe they just put you down for 3 or 6 months , just a thought ? If that's not the case then you should phone the company and demand to know why .

Why on earth someone you call a friend would tell you that is beyond me but perhaps you could contact the exclusion line as per OldhamKTF's thread?

No to be fair he told me had just started working there and I WAS the one who mentioned I had self-excluded from that shop. I don't know if looking in the self-exclusion book is part of the training they do or something but he told me I wasn't in it. The self-exclusion period is 12 months and I did it in February.

then. This not being allowed to name shops is pathetic. Of course I know the industry fund this site with 0.000001 of their profits.

So what's changed ? , You were fine when you thought they were in place and didn't think twice about it ? Just your mind playing silly games Phil .

If your worried then either call them or the national self exclusion helpline , Simple's :))

Call them, Phil, ASAP, because you'll feel stronger if the blocks are in place.

BW,

CW

Hi thanks for messages. I will do what you say CW ASAP but I just need to find out the specific shop before I make the call as I can't remember which one he said it was and there are loads of in Cardiff.

The thing is Phil I believe the way it works is you walk into a shop of a particular firm , they then exclude you from that one plus the closest 4 to that area or it did when I SE'd , unless of course you did it nationally ? So it could be that shop your friend works in is not one of the designated ones ?

I was told by at the start of the year I could only self-exclude from a certain number of shops with their company. I excluded from 7. Maybe they were talking BS I don't know.

Yeah I think if you do it via the shop that's about right although the amount may differ firm to firm , still possible the one your concerned about isn't on the list of chosen ones ?
