Hiya Lazurus

"Doctor, my wee smells like sugar P***s"

"Does it hurt"?

"Only when a free plastic toy comes out"

Lol :>)

Seriously though , unless you have diabetes or are on antidepressants where this can be a side effect it will be most likely that you are not drinking enough water or too much sugar in la diet.

Would love to see more of those paintings Steve..I reckon another gallery is due like on "Take Hart" I can do the plinky plonky music bit in the background...

Good luck to you on the birds and bees...I was going with it until the stork came in. Is it wonder us Brits have a reputation for weird s*x with all this wildlife involved? ....Any nuptuals now have to be precursed by a bedroom window check to make sure it is closed to keep out swaddled beaks!

Just don't be showing her any "Joy of s*x " circa 1975 as seeing body hair on women and big fuzzy beards on men may just tip her over the edge ....its LD's Mondo Freaks!

Anyhoooo..enjoy your holiday and may the sun shine down upon you whereever you are sir ..

Thanks Rach for your concern. This is what I consumed yesterday. Chicken and two nectarines for breakfast. Coffee, vitamin pill, aspirin, B6 tab, cod liver oil, garlic tab, 500mg Naproxem, ginseng, gluc... sulphate, potassium. 4 magnums, 2 tins of tuna, pasta, mayo, tin of rice pudding, loads of water. Nothing out of the ordinary there, just reckon I'm a tad run down.

I really wouldn't like to pass a toy through my 'old fella' I've heard a kidney stone is bad enough but I can do a trick with 'him' and 5 twenty pence pieces, I call it the 'Gatling gun.'

It was a joy to see Tony Hart again, he was the gentlest, sweetest and campest man on the telly. Loved Vision On. So thanks for that. I hope you're well.

Woke up in a good mood which is no bad thing. The only blot on the horizon is a beautiful cold sore, which moved in over night and set up home on my top lip. This alongside my stye has mad me avoid mirrors thus far. I'm frightened about what I'll wake up with tomorrow, if I was a gambling man I'd wager on it being a hunched back and one leg shorter than the other.

Cold sores or the herpes virus is truly fascinating. Virus's don't have the double helix of DNA instead they have a single strand of RNA which allows them to freely adapt and mutate. This virus which I'm currently sporting on my lip has been around (without the need to mutate) since the dinosaurs. It lived in them and practically every animal on this planet, even fish. We can't really eradicate it from our system just make it retreat back into where it came from ( spinal cord, I think). Where it'll remain there, lurking waiting patiently for another opportunity to manifest when our defenses are low. This virus is like my gambling monster I have deep inside me. It's waiting patiently for the opportunity to fester and 'have its time in the sun.' There's nothing I can do because once it's there, it's there. I can't live in fear of this just never become complacent and believe its gone forever, because it hasn't. My respect, understanding and vigilance of what lurks within gives me a healthy balance. All I can do is make sure I take my life away from the behaviour patterns which brought me here, away from the self delusional thinking and away from that first bet. It will always be there yet it's my job to keep it buried and not invite it back up.

Y'know ..that analogy makes a lot of sense Steve as with herpes and gambling virus it's about putting blocks in place...

L -Lysine is an amino acid which actually blocks Arginine which feeds the virus!

Who've ya been kissing ? ...lol

Have a good day today ...a bit cooler...and if I happen upon some limping soul crying "the bells ..the bells" I shall come and make myself known.

Check out the word " Suadade"...no English translation but in Portugese means "a longing , melancholia or deep nostalgia for something or someone that is now gone"

Once there were a group of people who chose to leave a land, a land full of pain and misery. They decided to sail away in the hope of a better life and to start 'over' again, they were broken people. They built ships to help them on this journey, all helped one another, supported those who were struggling, for each understood the other's frustration and pain. When the ships were ready they planned to set sail when a voice from the crowd spoke.

'Wait,' he said. 'I know a better place to sail to, a place called 'Cakeandeatit,' it's across those waters and once we reach there happiness can be found.' This was 'Skipper,' who uttered these words. 'It is a short cut to happiness and look at how calm and inviting those waters are.

He furthered 'you go your way and I shall go mine for I have built my own ship, 'HMS Self Delusion,' I shall take anyone who chooses to follow for it shall reassure me.'

'This land 'cakeandeatit' does not exist' countered a voice from the crowd. 'We too have searched for it.'

'Besides those waters in that direction are too dangerous,' voiced another.

'Do not tempt or entice us with your false promises for we know the true way!'

'Wait,' smiled Skipper 'you're all wrong, it's I who knows the true way, I have sailed those waters before, 600,000 times and although I have never set foot on that land, I have seen it. I have came close yet each time my ship was broken up on the uncontrollable tides and rocks which surround it, and each time I was washed back here. Yet this time it will be different. Join me.'

This caused the crowd to stir, those who chose to follow him were doomed, others voiced their anger and concern at his enticements, whilst others tried to persuade him to change his mind.

Finally the Gods intervened. 'Each person must follow their own path,' they commanded ' free will must prevail, even when it harms others.' These were the Gods who were created out of other peoples misery and indeed, existed through their continual misery.

Eventually all left the shores in their ships of their own making. The waters appeared calm. Those who followed the true route paddled one stroke at a time, through pain and boredom until they reached a paradise called 'Contentment.' Some got there before others but all reached there goal as long as they placed one stroke ahead of the other. Whereas, those who followed Skipper's path gradually became concerned for the waves became increasingly choppy and violent until they washed over the side of the ship. After a while the ship sank and those who followed lost everything they valued. Their family, friends, possessions, wealth, time, happiness, self respect and sanity. Painfully and slowly the inevitable tide took them back to the miserable land from once they came.

Never underestimate the power of this illness and never underestimate how weak you are. There are no easy paths to follow. Gambling, however large or small, is dangerous to all of us on this site. We cannot gamble because we cannot ultimately control it or stop. This is what brought us here, this is why we made a promise to change. Enjoy your recovery, your main block is your viewpoint, never allow this to become watered down.

Steve Grimm, yet less grim now.
