Thanks Lil30 , hope you are coping well too.
Day 12
Busy day yesterday with family so no time to even think about football or have a bet.
Days are adding up really quickly, feel really motivated to beat my personal best of 21 weeks gamble free.
Day 13
Busy day yesterday at work. Went straight to the gym for an hour to keep busy. No thoughts about gambling
Day 14 - 2 weeks gamble free 🙂
Another busy day at work. Had no plans last night so just watched the football at home and admittedly thought about gambling.
It wasnt just temptations though, I kept reminding myself how much better life is without it and how I dont need it anymore.
My girlfriend also commented on how much better things have been the last couple of weeks since I have not been glued to my phone every night. We have time now to do things together, simple things like cooking together which we rarely do she appreciates.
Hi how's it going mate?
Day 15
Im good thanks Belford.
First time yesterday I watched the football and had no urge to have a bet. I keep reminding myself how you cannot win in the long run and that it is just best staying clear and keep this run going.
Its not only losing money which I stop doing when I dont gamble, I have much more time to do other things too.
Day 16
Good day yesterday, no urges whilst watching the Arsenal game.
Slowly getting used to life with no gambling again, will just keep taking it one day at a time.
Day 17
Busy day today was lots of football on but didnt get much time to follow any of it. Keeping myself busy I am fine, its just when I am not that the temptations are there but so far so good
Day 18
Busy day with family today. Lots of football over the next few weeks but slowly getting used to not having to gamble everytime I watch a game.
Monzo has helped a lot, sure I would have given in by now if I was able to.
Day 19
Busy day at work today, hardly any football tonight so no temptation. Feeling good coming up to the 3 week mark. I can certainly notice it in my bank balance hardly spent anything last few weeks.
Day 20
Feeling good this morning. One of the other positives from no gambling is getting a good sleep lol. Many nights whilst gambling I would stay up till 1am gambling on anything whether I was winning or losing, it just takes over me when I am in the thick of it and it is really nice to just not have it around me anymore.
Day 21
Three weeks gamble free 🙂
Not much to add really, no temptations whatsoever at the moment. Realising how everything is so much better without gambling makes me want to stay away for good.
I know it only takes a few minutes to give in but having no access to online gambling has solved 95% of my problem. Yes I can walk into a bookies but havent done for years and doesnt appeal to me.
Day 22
Not much to add today, watched the Arsenal game last night no urges to gamble. Another day on the board 🙂
Day 23
Too busy to even think about gambling yesterday. Last day of work today then a nice 10 days off 🙂
Day 24
Busy day today bit of shopping, watch the Arsenal game and then Work Christmas party. Feeling good, not missing gambling at all
Day 25
Couple last minute bits to get for Christmas today then I am done. Now used to life with no gambling and dont miss it one bit.
Affected by gambling?
