Hi Sandra... it just goes to show how gambling is a reaction to some form of stress. I lose count of the numbers of times ive either gambled before a family visit or just after. Often I don't realise how stress I get in the build up. Often I don't undertsand why because I then go on to have a lovely visit. But what i do realise after the event is that its the emotional upheaval that leads to the urge to gamble and to escape.
But anyway, like you say, we stumble and make mistakes but then we stand up again and carry on and take a little piece of learning with us.
Onwards, upwards and forwards dear soldier.

Dear Sandra
Your last post hit me hard. Don't think like that. Forgot the past and just focus on correcting the future. What's done is done. We've all got this problem and some are dealing with it well but others, like me and you, are really struggling. There is no reason why we can't be like the success stories on here. We've got to want to do. Smile. Take a deep breath. Move forward. You can do this. I want to see 100 days from you... and then we can think about a 1,000 days. Keep trucking!
Put your hands & your feet out to stop you slipping or @ least slow you down long enough to realise you can & will get through this!
Employees are employees, we all have our bad days, that doesn't make you a bad person!
Control is something we don't always realise is @ our fingertips...Recovery is hard but it's not impossible & the only person you let down when you slip is you! Your friends don't like to see it happen but they can't stop it!

Thanks for your message, doggie is doing fine, still on the drops but she is a lot better within herself lol even though she is such a whimp at having the drops in her ears, she hides when they are due, she knows ohh HDs.

I'm so sorry I wasn't here and I'm a week late finding out, I'm sorry to hear you slipped, but never think that you get judgement from us here, I think we all want each other to do well and to get on the right track to lives that are better than just throwing money at the screen.
My thoughts are with you, you know you're a tough soldier and you can get through all the trenches to get to the right path. A few years ago, I had to give up one job to take a step down and a pay cut, because the stress and everything else was seeping through into other parts of my life. Managing people is not an easy job, (it's what I'm doing at the moment too), and I must admit I think it isn't for me.
I hope you can find the peace and positivity you need to get through, you know I'm at the end of the phone if you need to someone to talk to.
