Hi everyone thanks for all your kind messages I’m now out of hospital feeling better still a bit to go  a lot of physio which is very hard but no pain no gain I guess I am still gamble free and hope to stay that way I am almost a year and I do get the old nightmare but glad it’s only a nightmare the work starts here I hope to pop in the chat soon but I find typing fast is something I will have trouble with thanks again everyone  take care

Really pleased you have posted with good news. I was getting concerned.

I imagine it has been a traumatic time for you and your family following the stroke.

Best take things steady, keep yourself relaxed and do your best with the physio exercising.

Hi Scotty ???

Although I don’t come on here anymore I was made aware that you had been in hospital and not been very well and I wanted to just leave you a little message to wish you well and hope you make a swift recovery. I also wanted to let you know that although I may not be on here I do think of you fondly and think about your progress often. Even now I think back to our chats about bananas and cheesecakes and that will stay with me for life so whether you know it or not, you have had a real impact on many lives on here with your kindness, honesty and being a lovely, caring and funny person. I really hope you are feeling better soon and although I won’t be making a regular appearance or posting, I will be checking back in on your progress and how you are getting on with your health. I read the post your wife left and I had a real giggle when she wrote you insisted she had to put bananas ??. Even from a hospital bed, your personality shines through.

Hi all been having Trouble getting on the chat keeps kicking me out not sure why anyway just to let you know I am making steady progress got a bit more feeling back in my left arm being left-handed doesn’t help Keep forgetting how weak it is  on a positive note i had my covid jab I am nearly 1 year gamble free the last few have been difficult thank God for the blocks don’t want to gamble just needed something to escape just for 10 minutes glad I haven’t it’s 10 minutes turn into an hour £1 turns into £100 Hopefully with the weather turning nicer we will be able to get out still walking the dogs I can’t go too far on my own can be very frustrating that’s enough of me waffling on hope everyone is okay hopefully I’ll be able to get on chat soon I’ll try tomorrow take care for now.

Hi scotty,im glad to hear you are home and able to go for walks with the dogs even if you cant do as much as you would like too..you are doing amazing considering and well done on coming up to a year gamble free.

In terms of your arm just a small tip although im sure your drs are giving you the best advice but have you got a stress ball? Using one of them is good for strengthening your arm.

Hi all just like to say a big thankyou  to gamcare I have made it to a year gamble free so thanks all the people who have help me a long the way vinnie lou lively Stephen and stace  to name a few it has been hard at times but i hope I can stay on the right track I have put all the blocks back in place as I did not know they had to be restarted I have made a date now for next year  thanks again
