I collected my bicycle last night and forked out another £70 for two new tyres and inner tubes. I have wasted the best part of £200 over the last fortnight on bicycle-related costs. Still, I am now up and running again and aiming to save £200 through cycling to and from work between now and Christmas (weather permitting).

Just read back through your diary, esp the bit where you lapsed for an afternoon. V interesting too - you ever done it? It was quite sad to see absent friends there, Pat and NIboy in particular...I always wonder what happened after Ryan sent that letter to his Father. As for Pat, we were in email contact for a few months, and good support it was too, but I've not heard anything at all for a while, despite sending him half a dozen. A big shame, but such is the nature of forums, I suppose - this is my first (and last, I hope). Everything is so...transient.

Anyway, fancy counting down to relieve the monotony? I reckon you've 14 days to the year.

It is two months until Christmas and my current Credit Expert score is 964 (Excellent). I am going to close my Credit Expert account - it provides an interesting insight into one's finances and credit worthiness, but I do not think I can warrant keeping it. It would be different if it were free. Anyway, I have seen my credit score improve drastically over the last year - from Very Poor to Excellent - which at least shows that abstaining from gambling has significantly helped my financial reputation.
