Hi shiny

Just had to backtrack bout 20 posts to catch up on ur diary then realised a day had only passed , so NT may well post on more diaries which is an achievement in itself and a real credit to himself but don't u under sell urself ur way to humble I know that's the way u like it don't forget ur still the syco of gamcare ( not the mad woman the x factor guy ) the one we wait on their reassurance and support knowing it means so much to them

Also noticed there was 2 posts by u in a row , now that must be a first then after rechecking there was only twenty mins in between must av been when corra was on lol

Great idea with the wow posts there are so many but some inspiring , motivational , caring and some real funny ones it just goes to show u can throw a group of people from all walks of lives and come up with some real great posts

U would never think we had problems at times , the bonds are so strong the support is always there we all owe each other so much in playing their part in helping in our recoveries

So we should all be very proud

hiya sweets....just a drive by before shut eye...

great momentum on the WOW post thread hun...cool ...nearly another weekend! can you believe it....?

didn't realise your daughters age as for some reason i felt they were younger...poor you!...and no doubt any of your make up and clothes go missing too...lol

Laughed at the hair dyeing saga....I once had a bash at that in my teens and ruined about 3 bath towels as my hair also went too ginger...went back and had a blonde number the next day ...

Life in your household sounds like fun especially if your girls are loved up...if people congregate round yours then its a compliment...or you have a full fridge...

Hugs for now

speaky on the morrow...

Yo,

Just read RCGs post and oh boy did it stir up a memory .

One fatefully afternoon I played on line (this was very rare) as I had self cancelled at all online sites 5 years earlier.

From a very small amount of money , I did indeed win a very substantial amount. Do not like to talk figures but suffice to say it was a lot, as I would think nothing of loosing a grand you can sort of get the idea.

I remember skipping around the house . I logged off , but was concerned that I would not be able to log back on. As it was the first time I had been on this site for so many years , you know wanted to know the money was still there.

So I logged back on , and yep started to play again, it all went south . Right from the off . Within the space of 4 hours I had a years salary and lost a years salary .

When you look at it now , it was crazy , but it was never really cash , just numbers on a screen , doomed to its fate.

If I had won 2/4/6 a lifetime of wages it would of still been the same .

I am sorting seeing , the sink in the bathroom (which is no longer covered in hair dye) full of water and the plug being pulled out. Seeing that circular motion as it is sucked down the plug hole .

Thank you RCG for your post , it made me think back to that fatefull day . And with cerment in hand added another half a dozen bricks to my wall ( the wall between me and my next bet)

Moral of the story , IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH TO MAKE YOU STOP !!!'

Today I feel good , today once again that madness is behind me. But I am well aware that it can silently creep up from behind and wrap those money &life sucking tendrils around me again.

Yo,

I'm here. Just a bit poorly.

Having to take a sick day , got flu , very washed out with it .

So need to sleep to try and turn it around .

No thoughts go gambling , only thoughts of trying not to puke ......

Defo not feeling Shiny today : - (

Hi Shiny... Yo... lol

Up to now ive had this image of you as a mature manager type dressed appropriately but with the word... Yo... I now have this image of you in a cap the wrong way round lurking a a hoodie.

Anyway sorry to hear that your ill. If ya need to puke then stagger down to your nearest gambling establishment and do the deed on there (or is it their) windows.

As for the winning and losing and Rcg's post I guess we all relate to it. We can never win cos we never stop. My wins were never very big but many a time i'd wonder into some hell hole and within minutes i'd have won enough to pay a few weeks rent.. but it was never enough.. down the proverbial plug hole it would go. The bottom line is this... "the only win is not to play".

Get well soon.. S.A 🙂

Hiya Shiny .....

just popping in from the giddy heights of Tesco"s cafe..todays pitstop coffee.

Hoping you are feeling a wee bit better....

Sending you a home made joke that I just made up ....

"Why was the Dolphin suffering with depression?"

"Because he felt he'd lost his Porpoise"..

it's the way I tell 'em....lol
