Hey Shiny,

I think as our recovery develops we change the way we use this site, I needed it every second in the beginning, now sometimes I STILL need it every second but other times can pass a week without having anything to post on my thread.

I have come to accept our old friend Smilers words now about this is not a journey because a journey has a final destination. We are all travellers each day as we go about our business sometimes our paths cross sometimes they do not. We are watching out for each other should we fall and we are there to give that helping hand to those in need.

I am rambling of course, I guess what I am trying to say is that you are doing great, you seem so much stronger than just a few months before, celebrate this, give yourself a massive high five pat on the back, nay a hug......

Hi Ya Shiny,

I can understand you needing some space. -- and totally get how even logging onto this site, if we're not careful, could become in itself, a time consuming compulsion. I am in full support of any decision you make that furthers your recovery. BUT, -- I do miss you. 🙂 -joanxx

Hello friend.

It does become difficult and a chore after a while finding different things to write.

Like me I know you won't disappear altogether, you have many on here who look up to you.

You will have to post when you've been to that special works doo that you mentioned.

A special day for a special person you take it easy friend.(sorry if I've missed it,its difficult following from a mobile if you miss a few days on here ?).

Best wishes.

W.P x

Hi Shiny... great to see that your trucking along in the middle lane on a good quality tarmac. I sense that even if there were some road works up ahead you'd be able to navigate them with ease. Take care... S.A 🙂

Shiny,

So sorry. I will grant your wish. I will read your diary. You need to help people. Keep posting. I wanted to help but you feel you are not ready. You are not broken. You are a truly wonderful person and have been a great friend to me. You don't have to worry any more. I am gone. Get on with what you do best. GIVING. But don't forget to have that me time but not crazy gambling, doing what you really want. I care for you and will never forget some of the psychological holes you really helped to dig me out of. If I could only return the favour I would. I will give you some replies as you requested and a full update of my progress and or backward steps now and again. Take care. You were always my favourite.

Ian. x

hey Shiny....

Its a funny old cyber world isnt it?..

I'm just popping in to say hi and hoping you are ok .

I understand when you say that anonymity is the key for you in recovery...as you know I did make a tentivie step into 3d in the Spring but the timing was right and I did'nt have anyone at home to consider.

I can understand how that must bring some unease and not sit well for you.

Outside of this forum I am just an ordinary woman like anyone else, shopping, working, driving etc..there is very little more to know as I put my whole self on here every day.

I know you said that you did that in your first diary and but felt too exposed so I can see why this time you want to keep things more guarded.

We are probably far more real in cyberspace than we ever are in 3d and I hope you still stay connected to this forum in some way ....even if it's with newcomers like JamesP does...

It's just SO good to see your name there ....

I know I hark on about 12 step AA etc but I learned a lot from those rooms...One time I opened my share with "I'm so bored of my story" to which a long term member said."We're not..we need to hear it"

Sometimes the smallest of things can trigger a lightbulb moment for another just by sharing your experience, strength and hope.

I guess what im trying to say (badly) is that no matter how little or lots you share on the site you are always helping..i've been amazed at the response from some folk on here who feel the same as me who I would never expect.

People whose names I see but I didnt even realise were reading...also people on supporters too that I had no idea were reading.

Having said all that and you genuinely want to put the past behind you and feel you have outgrown this part of your journey then I am very happy for you..as there is no point having Fairy wings if you don't use them to fly.

hugs

R and D xx

Hiya Shiny 🙂

Came by to say Hi, I can't stay long cause I got a Chicken in the oven! Hope you understand...lol

Well, just to catch up a bit. I finally made that frog jump. Thanks to you, I persisted, perspire dripping from my slightly tanned olive face, in a slightly cornered existence my will to succeed came through and that frog leaped a mile! hehe... (Now trying to make a bike which goes 50 metres, does a wheelie and then punctures it's tyre...This one I am really struggling with!) 🙂

Again, need a holiday to catch up with you but reading the last few pages you are doing good, I promise I will catch up... Just not much time at the mo with work.

Take care for today, and have a great weekend!!!!

JP.x
