Mate your post really made me think and hit home hard, the thought of my son saying that to me is heartbreaking and if there's one thought I need to keep at the front of my mind through this journey then that is it.
football wise im a bit complicated, my family are all rotherham united fans but my dads job took us to teesside at a young age therefore my first love is middlesbrough fc. I am also a massive Glasgow rangers fan because im a proud brit and identify with everything that club stands for. Hoping to be back where they belong next season!

ye if only we could turn back the clock I know exactly the one thing id change and that's ever placing a bet. But the best we can do is learn from the past and ensure the very best for our families from here on in.

Day 34 with not a single bet placed.just woke up and would normally be sitting right now checking football odds and horse coupons and all prices.not taday as I am going to take my wife and kids swimming and out for lunch then al go for a game of golf later instead of sitting with face tripping me because I have lost all my bets,probably looking to see how I could get them back on the sun. Day 36 over and done with.had a busy weekend and wedding y.day.felt a bit worse for wear today :-)its always good at the time. Few urges over the weekend but pushed them aside.on I march to xmas

Day 37.wee easy day work today for a change 🙂 drove past a few betting shops on the way home but never even turned my head to look at the sh#tholes. Each day I feel is getting a tiny bit easier but still a long long way for me to go.my goal for now is xmas the hopefully kick on from there.

Like you I quite like a drink and generally feel better after a few but then feel guilty cos I don't really feel I deserve anything good after what ive done!
Day 38 done and dusted.still feeling there is nothing to live for while at work because the weekend is comin up and am not gambling again. Then it hits home,its not all about me.i have a lovely wife and two kids that want to be loved and see me happy to spend time with them without checking my phone every 2 mins for results and scores.there is no way I can go back to gambling,i want to be there for the 3 of them to talk their problems to me when they need me and not be listening to them thinking I couldn't care less I just need 1 more result for my coupon.they are now joint number 1 and I am number 2 now.
