Lol...well at least you showed you're face ....

"The sun has gone down."...I was going to make a crude male genital joke about that now you have left the party ...but decided to decline ...lol

Take it you didn't get a weeks supply of vol au vents then ; -)

Day 208

4.20 a.m it finally went quiet, but only after I lost my rag. Its out of order. I have a general philosophy of live and let live but once it gets past 1 a.m you make sure your party goers are in your flat and you turn the music down... its just common courtesy!! Selfish f*****s!!! Unsurprisingly its now all quiet on the western front. Maybe I will make some noise now am leaving for work.

No gambling. Thanks for listening... S.A

Day 208 comes to a close.

I managed two hours sleep I think and then I was driving for much of the day, not great. However whilst I was very P***** off in the wee small hours am much more sanguine about it all now. To be honest am more relieved about having got through another working day without it all going pear shaped. Time to chillax and relax.

No gambling problems. I recently watched an advert for an online gambling website and I thought... do people really gamble "for entertainment" and "entertainment alone??" Its like how many people truly say to themselves "am going to gamble £20 and be entertained by the spin of the reels or the turn of the imaginary card and its ok whether I win or whether I don't win because I will have felt entertained by playing the game"

What a load of b*****ks. The thrill of gambling is about winning money isn't it?? We all want to win oodles of money don't we... otherwise what's the point?? That's my thoughts at this moment in time. Thanks for listening... S.A 🙂

Oh these companies and establishments know what they are doing. They know how to try and paint themselves white and try and pass themselves off as entertainment but at the same time they provide that buzz, thrill, action of wanting to win money and know full well its going to hook people.

Hope the neighbours have partied themselves out from last night and you get a peaceful nights sleep.

Day 209

Thanks both and yes the block has been extremely quiet this last 24 hours. Which I think is good as it means that certain people are probably feeling a bit guilty about the party the night before. At least I hope they are.

The weeks stress has caught up with me. Am very tired and fatigued today but feeling fine in the great scheme of things. Zig zag lines in my sight for a while this morning but that's past now. Am certain now that my eyesight issues is all stress and blood sugar related. A restful and healthy eating weekend ahead for sure.

No gambling problems. Thanks for listening folks... S.A 🙂

Gambling for entertainment that was a funny post SA. Your spot on who gambles for entertainment. Even If you can control your gambling and do just spend x amount a week your still doing it to win money nothing more nothing less and wether you've spent one pound or one thousand pounds if you miss your footy acca by one team your still incredibly P***** off because of it. Gambling is a waste of time as whoever you are a controlled or a compulsive gambler you never win and you never get entertained.

That's my little mini rant over lol. Enjoy the restful weekend. Sounds like you deserve it.

SA

fella your eyesight is on the blink through looking at that half dressed young lady!!!LOl

Fella I know I am getting too old as I find myself asking my Lily who's 17 are you going out in that!! and to be fare to her she wears twice as much as her friends!!!!!!

To which she and then her mum through me the kermit!!

Just taken the wife for an eye test (free in the supermarket) every little helps lol, the fella said she has to learn to control her focus, at work she goes from reading text, to shouting at little jonny picking his nose at the back of the class and wiping it under the table lol, and all under that wonderful artifical light, with the blinds closed!!

I always laugh at the kids with no colour in them, they remind me of battery chicken eggs, no colour in them either all couped up!!

Glad to see your fit and well, fella and I laughed out too loud about the gambling advert, I am in the library lol.

Enjoy your weekend, take it easy.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

the honourable SA

My dear friend your not that fella I keep sitting next to, who i believe each day sits at a computer, for his allotted thirty minutes types furiously what out of the corner of my eye looks like a story, well only ever the openings of a story.

Then the five minutes warning flashes, he types more frantically, the two minutes warning scrolls across, more frantic typing.

Then the screen switches off, returns to the log in screen.

Welcome to Portsmouth library services.

He quietly stands, returns his chair under the desk.

Leaves.

I have considered offering a memory stick, but he does always look happy.

Different strokes and all.

Fella your posts always raise a smile.

Knowing i can always ad lib brilliant.

Thanks all :-)... am currently eating a banana Rach.. I am good lol

Day 210... 30 weeks!

No major problems so far, which is a surprise given my recent history. I am overdue for a gambling binge but it ain't gonna happen this time, just one day at a time.

Ive been for the sacred long Sunday run this morning... 2 hours but no more! No pushing myself beyond my limits in the warm summer sunshine. I still want to RUN the marathon am just not sure when it will happen.

Ive "finished" 3 marathons but I haven't "RUN" a marathon if ya get ma drift. For me running a marathon is sub-4hour finish time ie 9 minute miles for 26 miles and 385 yards. I am capable of this its just that I have to do the training and its got to come together on the day. It will happen on a cool day when it happens, not if.

Thanks for listening folks... S.A 🙂

Current Personal bests.

Marathon

4 hours 20 minutes and 52 seconds

Half-marathon

1 hour 44 minutes and 21 seconds

10 miles

1 hour 21 minutes and 10 seconds

Day 210 continues.... mmmm ive spent the day eating or rather over-eating!! I guess having nothing planned was the trigger. All the pro-active things I was going to do like looking for a new job or doing Nvq work or doing social stuff have come to nout. Ive just lounged around eating and lying in bed, watching the news and cr** Tv and feeling sorry for myself. O well never mind. Might go for a swim to work off the fast amounts of fodda sitting in my stomach. Thanks for listening... S.A

P.s this is what ive eaten today.

I family sized quiche

1 large tin baked beans

Pre-packed broccoli/cauliflower (lots)

Grated mature cheese (quite a lot)

4 fruit n oat bagels with margarine spread

1- banana

1-apple

3 or maybe 4 milky coffees with one sugar

large bowl of oats with sultanas and milk (microwaved)

2- camomile & honey teas with one sugar

Not quite as bad as I thought.. I guess most of it is fairly healthy, except for the cheese and quiche and sugar and spread lol

Nope that's not it...

Also one sis recovery fuel drink and one 300 gram pot of cottage cheese with pineapple bits

SA

fella the only question to ask is was the quiche warm or cold!!! lol.

after running for two hrs my friend i think that sounds like a re fuel.

As for your day, sounds like a re charge, me not being a doctor guess that tomorrow you will reap the benefits.

something not interrupted by winding money into a slot!!

that's progress and 210 to boot!!

If the quiche was warm i salute you!! if not.....

lol.

Duncs stepping forward never back.
