Day 12 today. I got paid today and first thing I did this morning was look for new sites to open an account. Luckily something told me not to be stupid and I didn't.

Hi Angie, be strong for your future sanity, remember how bad you felt 12 days ago, you know how bad it was, I am with you (I lost between K10 - K20 ) over the last month, I have now finally quit, debt frankly scares the utter s**t out of me. Time to say its over, the monies are never coming back.

My debts scare me too, however, we will get them paid off.. As long as we don't gamble. Wishing you well on your journey x

Thankyou Suzanne for your continuous support.

Can I ask how far you are on your journey to recovery? 2 weeks today for me, the urges are getting less and less by the day. And for once I actually have some money saved from my wages! x

Angie

A huge well done from me for the effort you have gifted recovery.

You are doing something amazing,a choice for life and one that will result in you always having you hard earned, rather than gifting it to the bookies.

I used to see all my money as gambling token's,no real sense of value in money, something through abstinence I have with out doubt changed, with irony I could have worked most of my life for free,as that is what I did repeatedly, get paid and gamble it,all of it,in a cycle of ever increasing destruction, self destruction at that!!

Recovery offers a different outcome to life

Brilliant to see you making a choice where you are to keeping your hard earned!!

Be proud

Abstain and maintain

Duncs stepping forward never back

Thanks Duncan. I am well on my way to recovery now, 2 weeks 2 days! This is a long time for me, the longest I've gave up in the past 4 years is a month. Cannot wait to get past that mark and continue! Good luck to you all, one day at a time.

Angie x
