I liked your post today life is lovely when we are content. Content is a strong word and I always have images of people just being supremely relaxed when they say content. I get the impression this is you right now and it's brilliant. I think you deserve a period of calm and serenity after recent events.

You know what?....Im a big softie....the worst of all softies..I love that you have your litte girl as for my pals with children....Im their Crazy Auntie Rach...

I keep this up Charl for the children, for the next generation...and for the little people inside all of us thats got lost...

I spill all that is in me on this site....the good,bad and ugly....and if only one person "gets it"..its been worth it hun.

Knowledge is power....and I don't mean that in a power as abuse way....I mean it as power in a way that empowers...and makes people perhaps feel less alone.

The only thing that makes me different on this site is choice of addiction.

All the feelings you guys/gals feel underneath the FOBTS ,Fruities,Bookies etc......I feel...I am also a sensitive soul....

I am no different....all that is different is my choice of escape.

Because the choice is different often on the surface it can be seen as two people as enemies...or pitched against each other...its not Charlotte ...the underlying stuff is the same...and if we can relate a that level with people ...then miracles can happen....

One of my best friends today is someone who was a bully at school....and i would have been the person she picked on.

What we both had in common was both our mothers died of alcoholism.

She bullied and got her anger out on innocent kids at school and went home and was so loving and caring and protective to her Mum.....I went to school and was a model pupil and then came home and battered nine bells out of my mother for being a drunk and exposed her behaviour to the whole community and finally got myself put in care...for safety....I was nearly killed in two drink driving accidents..

I carry a lot of guilt aged 9 ...physically hitting my mother...but i did not know alcoholism was a disease. thought this woman..my caretaker was a total biitch and wanted her out of my life..

Today....I love my friend....shes a pain in the a**....my boyfriend thinks she as a chip on her shoulder and would make a judgement on that...but she and I share the same pain and our lives would never cross unless we had met in a recovery group,

Firstly thank you for taking the time to post your words of support on my diary, it is always appreciated. Your support for others is quite amazing and unconditional, at such a young age you come across as mature, caring and very determined.

I have been catching up with your diary and it is obvious that you have had your ups and downs but overall the progress you have made has been astounding. Sometimes it is difficult to see the progress because you are on the inside looking out, but from the outside looking in you should be so proud of yourself and it was great to read how your b/f confirmed this by commenting on your change of character.

Huge congratulations for not only standing up to temptation but also for all the help, support and positive words of encouragement you have given others.
