Hi Charlotte,

Well done on your journey so far, sometimes it is difficult to look back and see what we have achieved especially when we are gripped by an urge that would undo all our hard work.

Unfortunately the urges are part of the recovery and as others have said they become less frequent and less intense but they are still around and will be in the future. Everyday you don't give in is a massive victory and a day you have regained for you and your loved ones.

Keep up the good work and stride on, remember all our recoveries are very personal and individual, post when you need to and feel like it, no more no less.

Stay safe and strong

Paulds

Hi Charlotte

I hope your feeling a little better today with your cold!

I think you have been so positive in your journey and there will be times when doubts creep in. I also get those 'just £20' feelings but i've been there so many times that before I know it the £20 ends being so much more.

Like you said when you went to Blackpool because you didn't put any money in the machines it didn't bother you that they were there....it's when we 'invest' with a gamble that it gets a hold of us...if we win we want to recreate that so called 'high' feeling and you ultimately end up losing plus much more and if we lose we end up chasing...so there's no real point!

Be proud of yourself Charlotte and we are all bound to get highs and lows in the journey.

Take good care lovely!

You are doing so well

Jewels x

Hi Charlotte

Well done on reaching the 9 week mark, over half way to your 16 week goal!!

Stay strong when it comes to those "just £20" urges - remember how bad you will have felt the last time you lapsed, and how you vowed never to make the same mistake again...

Hey Charl,

Well done on hitting that 9 week mark. The 90 day thread started just under 9 weeks ago so I like to think that's been helpful for you 🙂 Flagg has a big head you see lol!

The urges will be there but the ability to swat them away will improve over time and anyone with your strength and resolve will definitely keep moving forward.

I say it a lot but never stop being you Charl, you are honest, kind, and you put everything into recovery. It's a great combination and it definitely WILL lead to a happier life.

Flagg

Morning Charlotte,

Great to hear that you are still going strong. Thank you as always for your messages. Nothing to report this end - almost a week overdue now! The early labour signs didn't come to anything but we have been keeping ourselves busy. It will be well worth the wait in the end though!

Take care.

I hope that you have a great weekend and that I have some news for you soon.
