Hi guys

50 days gamble free, only a small milestone but I feel great with no thoughts on gambling at all.

I have been researching the Internet and have read some gamblers gave up by just bring bored of gambling - just like me.

Gambling is boring.

Hi guys

Nothing new to report other then it's 8 weeks since my last gamble and don't even feel like remotely gambling. Think I have finally grown up, £100 a spin on the roulette was 1 second to me but for my family a trolley full of shopping from Asda - sums it up for me.

Hi Paul,

Keep going, it's great to read about your recovery going so well. I like your reflections on growing up. Taking responsibility is always a great place to start.

All the best for your journey!

This is an absolute fantastic way of thinking about it paul!

Thinking similar things has kept me going.

Well done on 8 weeks! 😉

50 days is a lovely milestone to reach Paul, and so is your attitude to gambling now.

Lovely two achievements my friend, very well done you:)))

Hi guys

Something I wrote about myself on someone else's diary, thought I would share with anyone reading my diary.

'What I have found is when temptation strikes, I think of what else I can buy the family with the money, i.e. £45 a spin on the roulette is family Pizza Hut time (including ice cream factory at the end!), £60 a spin is family bowling night plus burgers and fries, £80 spin is family cinema plus Pizza Hut, £100 a spin is trolley full of shopping from Asda (including a litre bottle of Southern Comfort for the Mrs).

Do I want to ever gamble again - do me a favour!'

To put things into perspective, there have been many, many occasions when I have had £100 spins on roulette, one after the other, LOSING EVERY TIME.

If we think about gambling logically then it's a no brainer not to gamble, when you put your first tenner in the FOBT - you are already chasing your money.

Simple.

Hi Guys

Nothing new to report other then how I am going to enjoy today.

Normally Saturday consisted off, going to bookies, losing money, going to ATM, back to bookies, losing money, going to the bank because I have used my daily limit on my debit card, going back to bookies, losing more money - then off home, smiling at everyone but inside its pure hell because I have lost hundreds on the FOBT.

Not anymore.

Paul
