Approaching 40 days on your gamble free journey which is really good.
I know these are challenging times for you and your family.
Sending you my best wishes..stephen
Thank you Stephen again makes u realise we all need to appreciate what we got not try and get more and you could end up losing the lot
Hello Christer. Hope you and your family are ok and your daughter is getting the help she needs.
Congratulations on staying gamble free for 51 days. You have shown a lot of courage.
When we experience sadness in our lives the addiction might come along masquerading as a friend. We know it's a delusion but sometimes we struggle to see things clearly and get confused. Gambling just leads us down a miserable path to purgatory and we don't want to go there again...stephen
All i will say is was a fool on april 1
Sorry to read of your setback Christer but you did 2 months gamble free and you can do it again.
Hope you are ok in yourself and your daughter's condition is improving.
Take care my friend. Don't dwell on your past relapse but look forward to a better tomorrow...stephen
Daughter no better i just had a funny five and now im in regret still thankyou stephen
Hi Christer. Good to see you posting on the Guru Challenge and glad to see you 13 days away from your last gamble. That was just an isolated bet after 2 months gamble free. Congratulations on recognising that it was a mistake which you regretted.
You are having to cope with upset and sadness in your life. When we are feeling a bit down the addiction might try to get us back gambling but it only makes us feel even worse.
What's done is done and can't be changed. What we can do is live today as best we can and hope for a better tomorrow. Wishing you well...stephen
Wow not gonna hide the fact that this week has been a good week cause of the gamstop multi online self exclusion block. I hope many have joined
Gone again this time on my relapse at least ive gone through withgamstop. I tried last week then i had issues then never continued it but i have officially joined
Just seen your post on the Guru Challenge and pleased to see you are 9 days gamble free. I am one day behind you and hopefully it will stay like that. Maybe this time we can both knock it on the head for good. As Tina Turner sang "Gotta be something better out there."
I was saddened to read that your daughter is still unwell. All you can do is let her know that you love and care about her. It is tragic when someone close is struggling and we can do little to ease their pain or help resolve their troubles. Sometimes the gambling addiction will use our doubts and frustrations to try luring us back into its dark influence. We must always be aware and on our guard. A moments weakness and we are back where we started and feeling even worse than we did previously.
Take care Christer my friend and keep going forward...stephen
Hi Christer,
Sorry to hear you've had a couple of lapses, but glad you have got registered with GAMSTOP now. It would also be worth self excluding individually from any remaining accounts you have because they're not all on board with GAMSTOP yet. Sorry your daughter is so unwell. If you feel you need some extra support at this time why not give us a call on the HelpLine on 0808 8020 133 or chat to us on the NetLine.
Wishing her, and you, all the best.
