Read Willie thornes autobiography. Then read Russell brands book recovery.
Then if you continue to gamble after seek professional help and a GA group man. Good luck. Please stop punishing yourself my friend.

Yes. Our hih streeet is a ghost town with hairdressers bookies and charity shops left.
Back on here once again I got to a good target then I'm back to where I was so I'm going to start fresh
Hi Christer, just followed your diary and am really impressed by your determination. How are things at the moment? Did gamstop work out for you? Did you try a GA meeting? I started with online betting, tipsters etc. And I’m early on in my recovery so just avoiding sports, which is tough! Anyway, Good luck with this journey. Thanks for being so honest with your journey!
Thankyou to lil I will read urs when I get chance. Yes that's all mine is sports betting and yes when I avoid it I find I don't want to do it. Gam stop is brilliant not touched online since. Ga meetings are not easy to get to here. Thanks for your message
Here I am once again on a losing streak and want to stop.my friend at my work his brother committed suicide last week and I approached him when he came back and he said gambling that sent shudders down my spine as I know the highs and lows it can bring
My money in my bank went up rececenyly had some good wins now I'm back down. And I must stop makes me feel sick when I'm losing. Even though I've lf excluded on gamstop and bookies in my area I'm finding I'm going further to make my bets I'm going to go further on my self exclusion radius tommorow before I get worse
Hi Christer,
Sorry to read your story of going further a field to gamble in the bookies.
I’d suggest you have a choice to make right now in life and that is only you that can really do it. We can support and offer guidance but it’s ultimately up to you.
A few questions.....
What do you lose if you lose all your money?
What do you gain from having money in the bank?
Just to give you an idea......
If you saved say £100 month one, £100 month two and so on to month 12, you’d have £1200. A pretty wicked holiday somewhere (just not Las Vegas) 🙂 you could also do shorter options..... 3 day break in Barcelona equals less than £150 if you find the right package. Again having a goal to get something instead of having no value of how much we lose doesn’t matter.
I’d suggest you take your cards out your wallet and carry only a small amount of cash. £10 is a good start. That way if you do go and lose it you are only losing £10 instead of losing and chasing.
I’m sure others can offer their experience and guidance.
Good luck and I hope you crack it this time.
CJ.
