Well done mate. Just read you diary. Is been a tough journey. Very few gamblers stop the very first time they try to stop. I'm currently on day 250 and feeling great. The first month is tough but possible. Gambling can and will destroy your life. Don't go through what I did.

Make a list of all the positives in your life, no matter how small and keep referring back to it. You could lose them all with gambling.

House
Family
Health
Friends
Job
Mental wellbeing
Etc. ...

Keep strong. You can do it.

Hi trotty well done on 250 days and thankyou for the post, cheers balvaird, i almost blipped today, my parents have gone away and im on my own which usually involves playing poker but today i attempted to open an account but im self excluded from all sites so i cant which is good. I do have a lot of good things in my life which i should be grateful for ie house, job, mental well being etc so i should hold back on gambling and keep my vices to a minimum. Cheers for the advice. adam

Good morning Adam

Was gutted for you when you told me on the forum. Let's get your plan back in place, pick yourself up and go again.

You had a relapse. Now it's time to look forward and fully embrace recovery.

You can and will do it.

Best wishes

Sorry to hear of your relapse through the chat room. I agree with Balvaird, its important that you pick yourself up and try to stop gambling again. You can beat gambling addiction.

You've done 6 weeks. So crack on now and beat that. Very few people stop on their first go. Dust yourself down and start again. Don't beat yourself up. It happens mate.
