well i have now got to day 60 (roughly 2 months)

on reflection of this time and journey i would say it has been ups and downs quite often but for those of you now starting out it is worth all of it. i have realised it is better for me to keep busy, i dont like to have too much spare time on my hands. i am now what i have heard others say hitting the middle lane!!! life seems to be going along nicely for me right now. Dont worry i wont be getting complacent i know it could all turn like a flip of a coin but by getting to this stage i am mentally stronger now and prepared with actions to combat this.those who i have dealing s with regulary will know that i have signed up for my first marathon in marchand it is double the distance i have ever ran and i must saying i am like OH MY GOD what have i done, but that is another thing i have learnt coming out of this is that it is good to face the fears and take on these challenges as we can only get stronger from them. i apologise for rambling on a bit tonight and probably not even making sense

what i am basically saying is keep fighting everybody its all worth it and thanks to every last one of you i couldnt have got to where i am today with out you

gamble frees the way forward

Hey Carl,

Massive congratulation on day 60, and it is great to see such a positive post. As you say you have had your ups and downs and that is something I can really relate to.

Keeping busy is indeed the key and good luck with the marathon training!

Hi Carl

Massive congrats on 60 days !

Signing up for a marathon , wow , good for you and facing the challange to boot will make you feel great! (well maybe not at the end lol )

Keeping busy, yep , totally agree with you there, too much time on our hands makes us think too much and then the devils come riding ***** to knock us down, so keeping our mind occupied is the only way too go!

Great to see life is improving day by day for you!

Keep Strong

Lucy

HI Carl,

As always thanks for the posts... 60 days eh.. how proud are you of that... Well done mate.

Ive always said this but at the chance of repeating myself will say it again. This is a programme about change and you my friend have embraced that. What a great thing to aim for running a marathon, what a great sense of acheivement you will have when you complete it.

One day at a time you are doing this.. Be proud.

Hi Carl,

You really are racking up those days mate well done 🙂 Ye a full marathon is definitely a lot harder than the Great North Run but keep trying stay focused and you can do anything like give up gambling and run a full marathon.

Catch up soon pal keep going

Kind Regards

Ricky 🙂
