Well done sosad, your doing great, just to say my treat for the end of the month is to get my hair cut at a actual hairdressers, something I haven't done for over three years due to always blowing any spare cash. I'm so pleased your feeling better, and keep the treats coming we deserve them, even if it's only a mop x
How lovely that your son said you had your sparkly back sosad- awww that’s just lovely! That mop is going to be the beat mop you ever had haha love it! You’re so right- you didn’t deserve to hate yourself, none of us did. You seem like a lovely lovely lady and I just know this is going to turn out brilliant for you. Keep that sparkle going 🙂
I really need to stop typing so fast- excuse the typos but you get me hehe
Hi jacky I’ve booked hairdresser too and I think it’s 5 years since I last did that. My hair will go into shock!! Hey tracyd I get ya I get ya. Oh that mop will be so loved!! The shop will think I’m quite positively mad when I stand there beaming with me little mop! Keep it up gals we’re doing great!
Hey, a new hair do will lift our spirits, new hair do new gf us, new better life. I truly get the mop thing too, I have left myself so short of money in the past that I couldn't afford to buy everyday items like toiletries or food, never ever again. You keep going, everyone we can all do it x
I got 40 pound tips today and normally I would’ve banked it straight away so I could play that night, today I pinned it on my kitchen wall with a smiley face post it. My son thinks I’ve ckearly lost the plot but there’s method in my madness. I will see it in the morning and smile instead of waking up pig sick and depressed. That lil ole new mop will get a new bucket too!!!
That is a huge step- well done for that! I totally get what a big deal it is, I too would’ve been rushing to the bank to deposit the money in the past. You’ve turned a corner. Be proud and get picking a lovely bucket to go with that mop!
Love this! It's going to take a month to catch-up on immediate debts and direct debits before I feel any spare cash, but I really hope I can get there...
Anybody watch cleaning up tonight? When she was losing on that slot machine I nearly threw up with her. How on earth did we ever think it was fun?? We’ve all been in that exact same position I reckon. First episode I was shouting at the tv when her roulette came up 32 black. How can they not know 32 is red when there’s even a casino called 3****d? Anyway I’m going to bed with that pig sick feeling and I haven’t even done anything!!. So glad I watched it just for that one bit to remind me of that feeling. If you’re feeling the urge just watch that episode.
Oops I’m obviously not allowed to say that casino name. Sorry bout that didn’t realise.
Lil30- you will get there lovely! We are all on the right path and we can do it. Sosad- didn’t see the programme. Sorry you had that sense of awfulness to go bed on but glad it helped as a reminder. Don’t lose that sparkle with reminders of those past feelings though. Onwards and upwards with a new you and a new mop! 🙂
lol you should watch it if you can it’s a real wake up call if you get urges. The girl sitting on the slot machine is us all over. I woke up with that sick feeling this morning then as soon as I went in the kitchen and saw those happy notes on the wall I smiled again and felt a huge sense of relief. We’re winning lil we really are. There really is a life without gambling and I never thought I would or could ever say that. Keep going gal keep going.
Sorry that should say tracyd not lol!!
Lol is fine 🙂 I might give it a watch then- sounds good. Not long till mop day sosad- yay!
That one scene on the slots just sums us all up, the despair, the deceit and the sheer desperation it’s all there to see. Right to add to my mop I’m going to buy a pair of wellies too! For over 5 years I’ve had a hole in one and I use them daily to walk the dogs but prior to this I would never ‘waste’ 20 quid getting new ones yet I would ‘invest’ at least a 1000 on slots! Totally warped logic that made clear sense to me at the time. All the years I would come back with a wet foot!! Mop and wellies here we come, I sure know how to live it up!
Affected by gambling?
